Only F150 and Silverado is available right now... Tacoma and other midsizes are supposedly rolling out later this summer and into the fall. Kind of disappointing they were hyping them so much and then only announce 2 trucks.

I'm going to keep an eye on them but I'm not sure if they've done any testing for cold weather locations and especially curious how their latches will hold up. Don't see any gasketing either during setup

Right, they claim to be weatherproof but the lack of gaskets makes that hard to believe without a unibody design. I've been in contact with them and I'm certainly being swayed by it. If I get one in July when they are expecting them to be shipped (maybe delayed due to covid) I'll definitely do an in depth review post on it. No concrete decision made yet but I'm highly considering it.

These things look really cool, especially on the Jeep Gladiator. I like the size & strength, but worry about fit and finish (considering I'll be the one installing it). Price is actually close to a fiberglass cap, if you factor in windoors, roof rack tracks, etc. However, there are other options that RSI doesn't offer (headliner, power locks, etc.).

Haven't seen any true reviews yet, but I'm definitely concerned about leaks. In the market and on the fence.

Considering how much weight it can hold on top of it totally outweighs the no headliner and lighting upgrades you can make to an ARE or leer. Not to mention all the bolts are going to make very handy places to mount various items and if the stainless they are using has low nickel content it should be able to utilize magnets for storage. I plan on purchasing one and will give a complete review of it.

I’ve been waiting on the list as well...still waiting on pricing to make up my mind. Hopefully it’ll be less than the Alu Cab.

Looks to be $3,695 for 3rd Gen (either short bed or long bed), per their website.

Totally wasn't thinking about magnets. That could be useful.

RLD is nice too, but it doesn't have standard tracks on the roof for a Yakima rack (or similar). Also, I like that RSI has bigger windows.

Ya I do like the idea of the rld cap being unibody for weatherproofing but the windows are tiny and once you add the windows and get it powder coated it's just as expensive as the rsi. Not to mention if you happen to damage the rsi cap on one side you can just replace that component. Also if you say need to store your cap for any reason you could take rsi apart and fit it in a shed. I think modular is a great idea.

Ya they should be available for long bed tacomas in August and I have also heard they will be setting up pre order on their website soon.

Have you guys ever thought about making your own? Or having one made? To your specs?

I wish I knew how to tig weld..... Tig welding services are very expensive in my area.....
I've also thought about going with @Ripcord's design of the diy wedge camper on Instagram but I would like to be able to load plywood and things on top of my rig still.

Not to mention resale value and warranty of something you purchase versus build.

I carry a lot of stuff when I go camping, not like like Ozzie status amount of stuff, but more than enough to have some fun!4B0A46C6-BD64-4E19-A7B5-6FB69FA87A31.jpg

It keeps the tent at cab level when closed up for travel, I can even put my canoe over the cab!

Woah! That's pretty nifty! Did someone custom fab that or who made it?

It was made by a guy I found on expedition portal, then he sold the truck to a guy in Washington, who sold it to another guy, who I hunted down and bought it from. I just wanted you guys to see that home brew shells are definitely a thing!

That's pretty nice. I'm running bed bars and a tonneau now, but with the wife, kids, and dogs we need more room for anything more than a few nights.
