Yep, check out 7s trucks, they plate the hell of of the lower arms. The bushings in the stock arms suck though. Be way better off swapping to a better bushing too.

At what point do you think the stock arms will need to be strapped?

right now droop is limited by the shock. What makes you decide whether or not you want to limit droop with limit straps?

In other words, why didnt you install limit straps?

x2. I am wondering as well, why you're bumped but not strapped.

Straps are pennies on the dollar compared to air bumps, and if you're coming down hard enough to need em...

It's if you going up enough ha, getting the tires off the ground is when you need limit straps, it will get them soon. Right now in the front it's drooping no different then stock.

usually if you're going hard enough to fully bump then chances are you might catch some air too, whether intentionally or not :notsure:

just interested cuz I wanna do a similar set up on my girl's taco

I know what limit straps are for... I mean if you're rompin' on your truck hard enough to need air bumps why skip the straps?

You don't get a lot of hard upstroke without a lot of downstroke and vice versa. If you need air bumps, don't you typically also need straps as well?

I think I speak for blackhawke as well on this

Absolutely, it's more of a longevity thing. Also been waiting because we are trying to decide on what to do with the front. The options I am considering:

    A) building a full LT
    B) building a stock length uniball lower and running dual shocks
    C) plating the lower arm and maybe running dual shocks

I totally agree, I was just saying in a couple trips are you going to break a Fox 2.5 from droop with the weight of a 33" and a stock spindle... No way. Is it going to wear out faster... Yes

If you're confident enough in your fab skills to make any arms at all, go with LT. It's not like you need to worry about axle lengths or anything.

Are you planning on going with Chromoly or mild steel for these arms?

This ain't my first Rodeo :) they would be all plate. I would never consider building anything structural out of seamed tubing.

It's all up to my brother Shea (the owner of the truck) because if I'm building LT I'm building a race kit!

How are the Foxes valved out of the box?

Have you though about increasing the valving at all for the dirt?

It's honestly a great option, so many 7s trucks are running plating arms with 3.0 and a ton of valving. If you gave me the stock arm I could have them plated in a few hours.

That's good. You never know with these backyard fabricators these days.

If it means anything to you, the only reason I even bother to comment on/ask about your work is because I see that there is some thought/skill behind it.

These are far from out of the box ha the ones on this truck are custom 1 off built for the navy seal armored hilux. They are internal bypass and valved by fox for Shea's truck

Thanks man I appreciate that. Been in the racing scene since 03. Had a fab shop and a race team for a few years too. Left it for a few years but now I'm back
