SOLD the Tacoma. Landcruiser life now.
Yeah no clue. I've completely smashed the front end and it tucks fine. Where on the flare did it hit? The top or front side? Also how wide tires are you running? I get some minor rubbing on my lower arm and shock resi so I could see if you were running different wheel back spacing or spacer it would hit the flare for sure.

yea they are 4.5" backspacing wheels i believe so they stick out more than stockers, i need to find the contact mark.

Hey, curious as to the mounting location of the FOX bumps.

It looks like you guys more or less mounted the cans with some wiggle room, but not a whole lot compared to the stock bump location?

It may be too long ago to remember, but did it look like there was room for more uptravel than the stock bumps allowed? Assuming the coilover compresses enough.

I know the tire was already stuffing anyway in your case, but I have 4" Burg spindles and fenders are coming. I'm wondering if I can have my bumps stop an inch or so higher than stock.

Great question, I actually bumped his about 1/2" higher than stock. I found from cycling it with the stock bump off that everything started maxing after that like the steering, upper uniball and the shock. You could probably get another inch but I didn't want to max everything out.

That's ok news I guess, an extra inch is still more travel. Too bad though, because I'll have more than enough tire/fender clearance. Time for some horizontal uni-balls and heims!

The problem is with stock length arms and steering they are just so short, even if you could get everything to max out farther you would have horrible camber change and bump steer

You're totally right. Just tryna squeeze every last inch outta these.

Off topic: I know billet uppers have been done, even lowers for side x sides and ATV's. Do you know of any billet aluminum lower arms for trucks?

Id put more time into to tuning/valving the shocks than trying to get more travel. it will benefit you way more.

Nope never seen a aftermarket aluminum lower for trucks.

i kinda feel like its never ending sometimes...more compression valving, then I want to go faster and hit gnarlier shit, then more compression valving. At what point do you think it will be perfectly valved? how do you personally gauge it?

Well first you need to pick a final point you want to reach, you could always valve to go faster but it all depends on how build your rig is and how much stuff you are willing to break.

^ Reason why I dropped out on LT. Its never ending and my pockets just doesn't allow it. Then if I were to sell it when the time comes. Such a sad day. . .

OP, this is a sweet Mid Travel build that I might be doing to keep it low key. Simple and effective. :D Great job!
