2003 base, 2.4 4 cyl, 5 speed. I got the truck at 95 k 7 months ago and I now have 111k. I do all of the basic stuff, changing the oil, rotating the tires, changed the front brakes, etc. When would it be due for a tune up? Can somebody explain to me what adjusting the timing means? My engine squeals for a minute when I start it up, i'm guessing that's the chain? I really have no idea and I would rather ask here than go to a mechanic and get ripped off. Thanks for any input.

squeeling's probably the serp. belt. (black belt on front of motor)
but it could also be a number of things, check for small lateral cracks on the ribbed side of the belt; that's a good sign it needs replacing.

Oh my god, it even has the squeaky clutch fix. You are awesome. one other thing, when I go over a bump there's a really annoying sqeuaking sound coming from the front right wheel. Any idea what that is?

Could be that your bushing are shot, might be that the metal is rubbing together
