So I'm going to change my oil today, I'm about 1,500 miles over the dealer suggested mileage, and my Maintenance Required light came on yesterday, is this a result of needing an oil change? If I change it myself will the light come off? Should I get it done by the dealer for $30.00? It will probably cost just under that to do it myself..... Its a 2007 4.0 tacoma

Yes it's because you need an oil change. Once you change it, reset the maint reqd light here. Do it at the dealer or change your own oil with help from this thread.
