How much towing is "a lot"?

I'm curious to know what people regard as "wow that guy tows a lot".

In about 40,000 km last year, no more than 3,000 were towing, either my ATV trailer (2,500 lb max) or my camper (2,800 lb max).

IMO, that's not a lot at all on a percentage basis. Considering the type of driving... Well it was mostly constant speed highway driving. Very little stop-and-go city towing like a contractor might do.

What does everyone think?

 

Well... with the tow package, the truck is rated to tow 6,500 lbs but there's a big difference between a 6,500 lb flat trailer and a 6,500 lb travel trailer.

 

I'd say towing any of these more than 20% of the time..

I tow single axle 10x7 trailer at least 2-3 times a week.

 

I tow a 6 1/2 X 12 ft trailer about 2-3 times a week loaded with mulch or lawnmowers.
