Sup, I'm Danny. Thanks for checking out my build. The overall vision for this build is a fun wheeler that's also ready for expo adventures. Hopefully you enjoy it and stick around to watch her grow. #SWBFTMFW

I'll start with a photo of her when I first bought her from my buddy's auto brokerage:

She was a bone-stock 2006 TRD Sport 4x4 V6. After shelling out my downpayment money, I didn't have much left for mods, so she stayed this way (minus the bug deflector) for a few months. Working as a city planner, I get to go to some pretty cool places. Since my department only has hybrid Honda Civics, I take her when I need to get to the more remote portions of our jurisdiction. This picture was at a cell tower site in some rolling hills in Rodeo, CA:

My two pups like to take her for a spin every now and then too...

(don't mind the peeling paint on the skewp...had it redone!)

Also, thought this Lego Jango Fett light would be cool to add to my keychain to keep the SWB theme alive

First came the 3" OME lift (also from another member with only ~10k miles on it)
    -885 coils
    -Nitrocharger shocks all around
    -1.5" AAL
-Top plate spacer for full 3" lift

    Look who showed up...

Finally, I threw some new wheels and rubber on her to temporarily be done with major mods for awhile.

LT285/70/17 Toyo Open Country A/T II
    17" Method Race Wheels "Mesh"

Rack and tent for all the EAF points

    ClosedRTT (2).jpg

Then picked up a rear 4xInnovations bumper from @Cali007

Baja Kits +2 Long Travel kit & 35x12.50r17 Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs installed

Brute Force Fab front and rear bumpers installed.

Hopefully you guys like her as much as I do, and stick around for more build updates and some future adventure recaps!

Thanks man! Yeah I like them a lot, and I'm dreading that moment too...but hey, that's what comes with wheeling lol. I don't think I've seen many people with them on TW too, which is also why I liked them.

true that. I struggle with the wheel desicion bigger tires will ultimately make it for me but until then I'll continue beating on the SR5 rims.

Haha! I know the struggle...it took me a couple months to decide too. Loving the Toyos for sure. They're super quiet on the road and haven't failed me yet on my site visits for work climbing hills and what-not

My bfg's have gotten loud and hard but still perform great. Took me months to decide. Toyos were high on the lift as well definitely Going for mt's next time

For me it's between mtr and toyo mt. size is the big thing I want 35's but practicality wise I'll probably my get 33's I just don't see long distance trips going well with 35's. I know guys with both and nothing but good things to say the Toyos are heavy. having a 4cyl weight will start to become a factor

Sweet dude, and yeah 35's with a V6 is touchy enough as it is so I can imagine how it'd be with a 4cyl

Picked up some retro'd oem headlights from craigslist!! The only issue with them was one of the tabs that screwed into the bumper under the grille was broken off

Hollister Hills SVRA Trip - 7/18/2015

I took a trip out to Hollister Hills SVRA this past weekend and got the rig dirty on some real trails. Almost ended in disaster on a flex obstacle when my tire slipped down the side of the obstacle, but luckily there were some helping hands around to winch me back a few feet to realign myself and finish off the obstacle.

    MADE IT!!!

What did I learn from this trip? I need sliders, skids, and a way to disconnect my sway bar on the fly. On to the next one!

    Took another trip out to Hollister on 10/11/15 with @BudMan @younglexx @the glen @EDDO @Carson and @CalTacoma09. Here's @BudMan 's post-game analysis:

"Played at the frame twister and staircase, found a super rutty steep way up to Fremontia, ran Fremontia all the way up staying on the hard line (@Carson taking the super hard line ), second obstacle course, stream bed trail, and up the fence line from there. Did everything I wanted to! Struggled a bit with the hard way up Fremontia until I finally tried a new line. All in all super fun."
