    Looking for some help on install... I've been looking for a thread that was OME install to help with determining exact tools needed (i.e. socket sizes, etc.). I've got the torq spec sheets so i should be good there, but they don't list any sizes of the nuts/bolts. I just want to make sure i have everything before getting half way through it. I'm planning on doing the front struts and springs, as well as rear shocks, and progressive AAL.

    I did it with a basic Metric Wrench Set (10mm-21mm), channel locks, c-clamps for the leafs, and a hammer for stubborn bolts/bushings.. Make sure you have two 19mm's and 17mm's.

    I did get fancy though and used an electric impact wrench for the big bolts and that made things very easy to take apart.

    Ive received conflicting answers and need some advice. I have 5100s and stock leafs with an AAL in the rear. Per Downsouth Motorsports site I have, the 0-1.5"
    $104 24-186728 5100 Series Rear Shock fits 2005 2023 Tacoma 4WD with 0-1" Lift - Monotube Design, Fade Free Performance, Optimal Performance
    24-186728 5100 Series.

    I have a cap and a plate bumper. I need to upgrade my leaves.

    I dont want to buy shocks at this time, if I dont have to.

    Can the 5100's that I have work with the OME Dakar with the extra leaf (do you think I need the extra leaf because of the bumper and cap?)

    Install went great, took my girlfriend and I pretty much a full day to get everything done including LR UCA's. Spent all of Saturday welding the front bumper and got that installed by Sunday morning. We are pretty beat today, next weekend I will finish welding the sliders. Only problems we ran into were;

    Top bolt of the rear shocks were frozen on, I just cut them off with the angle grinder.

    with the new OME rear socks the bottom bushing was too long to fit in the bracket on the axle. No matter how much we hammered and bent out the bracket.

    I will write up a full report with pictures later, in my excitement I didnt measure a before so it will just be after measurements.
