i know about the taco tick - but my new to me 2012 DCSB is ticking when:

Giving it some gas while parked and under acceleration.

It sounds like an exhaust leak and wanted to know if this is normal. Going to take it in for spark plug replacement and have them look at it. For those who have had this issue what is it?

It sounds like an old beat up uhaul when I get on it and it's quite annoying.

Mine has done this since the day I got my 2012. I have read it is a common issue when I was trying to research the problem. I heard there was a TSB issued that could get rid of it or make it less noticable but some people were reporting that it made thier MPGs go down significantly afterwards so I just left it and didn't worry about it. FYI I changed my spark plugs with OEM ones and that doesn't solve the problem and yes I agree it does sound like an exhaust leak.

Not sure on plugs. 58k on the truck and previous owner took it in for all dealer maintenance intervals. Does that mean they were changed at 30k...guess is ad good as mine.

Plugs are getting changed next weekend.

Have tried a few stations and will do a seafoam treatment when my tank gets to 1/4 this week.

Did have the dealer do the TSB ecm flash last weekend when I got an oil change.

It sounds like the engine tick - but just increases in speed as I accelerate.

yeah that is the TSB I was talking about. You have the same tick/ping I have. I have read countless threads on this topic but I have yet to read one that actually had a solution that worked. Seemed like most people just gave up and dealt with it. :(
