Huh? Thats just crazy talk bro'.....:p

OP, unless you just like the looks & don't mind the cost $$$, you really don't need to invest that much $$$ on coil overs w/resi's (King/Icons/etc) for the type of wheeling you mentioned...just my.02

Oh yeah , lots of wondering if" I'm going to flop to the left or the right"... It's a single black diamond rating, depending how much erosion it can feel like dbl black diamond...

Things I've learned while lifting my truck:

If you lift over 2.25 inches you will need to address your CV axle boots. The pleats will be touching thus causing premature wear. New aftermarket boots will address this or the "CV boot mod"

33" tires will rub the mudflaps (at the least) unless you install adjustable upper control arms. The extra adjustability make it possible to move the wheel further forward away from the firewall, while maintain proper wheel alignment. I have Icons adjustable aluminum UCAs, LT255/85/R16 (33x10") on 16x7.5" rims (4.5 backspace, 15mm offset). I have absolutely not rub on or off the trail. None.

OP, I have 885 coils in the front with 5100s and custom AAL on the rear with 5100s. 885 coils give you 2.5" of lift on the front. I think the 886 coils give you 3". The 3" mark seems to be where people either do or don't run into vibration problems, alignment issues etc. that's why I stayed below 3" of lift.

Do yourself a favor, get a full leaf pack. I did an AAL and was told my truck would not sag with a load but it does. The factory springs suck.

It's also worth doing a diff drop kit and carriage bearing drop. The diff drop will reduce the angle on your CV - someone correct me if I'm talking out of my a___, and the carriage bearing drop will level things out with your drive shaft.

If you opt to go with a 3" lift have money set aside for UCA. The worst case scenario is you might need a one piece drive shaft. Don't know if anyone has had to do the one piece drive shaft with only a 3" lift. Anyone? The UCAs would be so you can get your alignment back to spec.

Here is mine with 885 coils and a custom .5" AAL. This setup levels my truck. I'll be getting a full leaf pack by the summer, probably Dakar. Keep in mind the Dakar gives you 2.75" of lift in the rear.

    image.jpg

I'm running 265/75/16 (32") a 33" will rub, even with a 3" lift. A whole lot of threads on here about that.
