    so this mod does look really easy. One question though and maybe @thefatkid could chime in on This. Why would we need to ground this? It's purely cutting the power to the harness. Why do we need a ground.

    His DIY is a little cleaner and not cutting wiring.. And putting rocker switch in ... I'm ok with the little momentary switch..
    It seems some people need to ground and some don't..:notsure:

    Haha I wanted that flyeyez at one point. Then I put my switches in the center console and they light up everything in the middle at night so no need for the eyez. :D

    I think the ground is just an overkill safety thought unless you are wiring it independently.

    I have not looked into this yet, I can try and dig around later. This mod is trying mimic the operational signal of the rear diff lock (diff lock disables ABS and VSC).

    Typically Toyota has grounded circuits for monitored signals. When the computer senses a voltage drop it knows if a signal is tripped.

    So it can be grounded to anything not a specific wire? And it just sounded funny if we where just cutting Power.

    Boost and flex and 35s
    ABS was invented because it works better than a normal braking system so I don't know why you would want to turn it off :notsure:

    I was unable to get it to disable without the ground and a few others had the same experience - basically, I copied the signal sent to the ABS ECU when the locker is engaged on TRD OR trucks. 3.5 years later I still think it's one of the best things I've done to my truck, and if I had to do it again, I'd still do it the same way. Have fun!

    What did you ground to? Just anything? Or was there a wire you tapped to.

    I agree, when we where up at Yankee hill it sucked. You don't want your brakes pulsing on that because it just makes things worse. And abs is only good for people whose first ideas when sliding is to mash on the brakes. That's the worst thing you can do. Static friction is exponentialy worse then rolling friction on the same system.

    I don't know I'm old school I absolutely do not like the abs in the Tacoma it is way to sensitive...I went over a pothole the other day while braking and it kicked in WTF

    So @3378jakesr5 3 prong??? I'm going for a toggle...I think that way when you reach down there you don't get confused with the tpms switch I'll grab a few..

    Now, connect a wire to the ground bolt just behind/below IB1. White in my case. Don't worry about the other two ground wires shown in the pic, not related.
