    I heard that using 5W-30 is probably better for this motor. I actually plan to change my oil every 3,000KM. I'm old school like that.... o_O

    Says who?? Is this coming from Toyota?
    But no, that’s not what the manual and the oil filler cap says, but I’ll gladly give you the correct information so as you don’t damage your engine, like you’ve seemed to have damaged everything else on your '16 Toyota Tacoma.
    Manual and oil filler cap says to use 5W-20 synthetic motor oil.
    Moreover, make sure that it meets the following industry approvals: ILSAC GF-5, API SN,SM,SL,SJ.
