i have a 3 inch spindle lift (fabtech) and an add a leaf with extended shackles on my 5 lug and I'm running 31" tires with out rubbing at full lock. You will either need to cut the fenders (and bottom it out a few times to bend them a bit :anonymous: ) or fiberglass fenders.

Do you have pictures of yours? I installed the 3.5" Doestch Spindle Lift running 30x9.5x15 tires and I'm rubbing the back of the wheel-well at almost-full lock. Did you have to cut out the back plastic of the wheel well to get them to work? Any pics of required cuts would be great. I am hoping not to have to do a 1.5" spacer lift just to get the clearance, but I'm rubbing all the time on turns and it's annoying.

Edit: Adding a terrible pic to show low-ish stance in front

My fenders were cut, no front flaps and almost all of the plastic was either cut or taken out. When photobucket decides to work I will see if I have any pictures.

I would cut the fenders and plastic liners before doing a 1.5" body lift. Even with them cut I hit a dip on a dirt road too hard and smashed one fender, right now it looks like if you hit a big bump you probably would too. Just before my truck got hit I had put 3" fiberglass fenders on up front so the tire would be under the fender and not sticking out so much that also solved my tire smashing fender issue.

My red taco was totaled a little over 2 years ago now so I cant really take any new ones.

I meant Shock mount spacer lift, not body spacer. But yeah, if you want to try imgur or some other thing, I'd like to see. I removed the flaps to get the extra 4mm of space from the flap mounts. I'll just plan on removing the plastics. Did you have any trouble with rust? I'm in AZ but I still want to keep my truck until I can freely afford a '16 or '17 Tacoma, which is about 5 years away. In terms of height, is it possible my shocks are sagging?

Thanks for the help so far!!

What front lift kit are you running in front? Have any other pics? (side profile, wheels turned locked-in or locked-out)

Gotcha, I definitely would not do a shock spacer either lol. It could be sagging springs. How old are your springs and shocks? Probably couldn't hurt to replace them.

I'm in AZ as well, no rust issues at all. I always try to sand down and paint any bare metal though. I would see if you can find somebody that would roll and pull or cut your fenders to get some clearance. Look and see where it is rubbing, if its the pinch weld in the rear of the fender look up the pinch weld mod and get busy with a hammer.

Your truck is a prerunner (6 lug) and COMPLETELY different suspension setup from a 5 lug.

    I have 33's on my 4x4 :D

No worries, I've done the same thing. When I had a 5 lug finding any of this info was a pain in the ass.

I realize there's not a lot of people outside of the Toyota community that sees there's a big difference between the 6lug and 5lug trucks lol

Yeah. Shopping for parts for a 5-lug is a joke. I basically back-reference TacomaWorld for every single thing I see online, since lift parts are often advertised as working for "all tacomas". So if I can remove the wheel-well plastic and get rid of rubbing on turns, I guess that's next. Fenders I'll have to see what I want to do. I saw some used glass on craigslist a month or two ago but haven't seen anything since.

Of course, if somebody was to sell me used glass fenders for under $100...
