Install done, works great. I have no electrical experience. I initially used the tap splices and couldn't get it to work. The people at Voodoo were great and answered the phone sunday morning at 11 when I called. They walked me through a few steps as well as telling me to T splice. I did that and everything worked great. These forum's are great, people like @GoGoStAm and the people at @KBVoodoo make this stuff so easy for even the novice Tacoma owner. Thanks again.

Looks like that's the @FullMotionHT unit also referenced here. Good on him for figuring out that the DBALL2 will work with an alternate configuration from the manufacturer's instructions. Using an OBD2 harness and pulling power and ground from it instead of the other locations is a great idea to save three factory harness connections.

Not sure how four wires tapped instead of nine is 95% but whatever.

BTW, glad you liked my SmartStart module install location. :D

Why? What do you get from people mentioning your name or Youtube handle?

We also have the lower priced @KB Voodoo option, using the same DEI DBALL2 module, who is a TW Vendor supporting the site. Or the even lower cost roll-your-own DBALL2 option I wrote up.

It's a nice thing that folks have options. Let's not cloud the picture for the TW community with marketing-speak.

I've installed dball2 a while back but now realize that I did not install an inline fuse on the 12V. Do I need one? I didn't see any fuse mentioned on any of the threads or I've missed it. Any thoughts?

Hi Guys I installed my KB voodoo remote start and its been working fine. Today I used my remote start (it was left in auto lights mode) and when I turn on the headlights, the indicators dont turn on the dash board. The head lights work but not the fogs either.
Any ideas? Worried about my drive home from work tonight in the dark.

Funny, same shit happened to mine, but i have an MT with the compustar system with the bladeal bypass.

I took it back to the shop and they checked the wiring and must have reseated the wiring and reprogrammed it and it's working ok now, just one day though.

If you leave it parked for 1 hour it will work again.

I'd guess he's testing a setup and want someone to install it and see if it works.

    Just guessing though.

Apparently not on the Tacoma. It would be nice if someone figured it out. I know the new Honda's with push button start don't do this.
