Some hid kits also interfere with radio signal and create static

I have the 5500k 35w Morimoto HID Elite kit from TRS and although there is a slight "bounce" when hitting large bumps it isn't all that noticeable. Definitely going to swap for the 4500k bulbs though.

Just wondering why you are switching to the 4500k? I recently ordered the same kit with the 5500k bulbs after going back and forth between them and the 4500k.

The 5500k bulbs aren't pure white like I would prefer - have a slight tint of blue on the outer parts of the beam and don't match the Morimoto XBLED fogs as well as I would like (probably shouldve gone with the 55w ballasts). It's just me being extremely picky with my lighting setup.

Yeah I gotcha, so other than that they light the road pretty well? I currently have a set of LEDs and they just aren't cutting it.

Yes the light output is far better than LEDs. I had a pair of Auxbeam LEDs in my headlights before I switched to HIDs and couldnt be happier.

Have had my Morimoto 5500k HID kit from TRS in for about a year now and while the light output is great, the bounce has progressively gotten worse. This was after the supposed "upgraded o-rings". Some people might not be bothered by it but I am.

Despite the parts being well made and the presentation/packaging being top notch, I'm not sure I can recommend them. There's been almost zero support from the seller or manufacturer on this issue, so don't expect it to be fixed. They're blaming it on Toyota.

Buy a different kit and let us know if it fixes the issue. Multiple people in your same boat have done so and had bounce with the new kits as well...this is pretty good supporting evidence for TRS's claim that the issue is not with their product. I'm not really trying to defend TRS because I too am in the same boat - have morimoto's that bounce and are getting worse but from what I've gathered swapping kits isn't the answer and by extension it's not TRS's fault.

My DDM ultra bulbs bounce a little bit as well but not enough to bother me. I just ordered some XenonDepot 5000k bulbs though to replace my DDM ultra 4500k bulbs. I prefer a bit more crisp white but don’t want the slight bluish tint I’ve seen on the Morimoto 5500k. We’ll see..

Yeah not sure which thread but i have posted my experience with my bike.
I had HID and the HID most likely interfered with sparks.

I've had my Xenon Depot HID's for almost a year now. no issues with output or bounce whatsoever. I originally went with the 4300k Phillips which gave me great output, but didn't match my Morimoto fogs very well

Installed the DDM Plus Canbus kit on my '17. If you scroll down on this page, you'll see pics/details of the before and after. No bouncing, static or anything like that as of yet!

Also, I should mention that they don't actually match the DRL's exactly, it's just that they overpower them so much you can't really make out the DRL's. Fine with me.

heat up the headlight, take it apart. unbolt the stock projector and bolt in the new one. it's that simple

After driving with my Morimoto HID Elite system since last October, I finally couldn't take the bouncing issue anymore as it seemed to get progressively worse. TRS likes to say is it an issue with the factory projector, however, I recently purchased a pair of Yeaky 5500k HID bulbs and have no bouncing whatsoever. I still run the Morimoto 55w ballasts and the rest of the Elite setup other than the bulbs. Plus the Yeaky bulbs also have a whiter color (personally prefer it over the Morimoto 5500k). It seems the issue IS with the Morimoto HID bulbs included with the HID Elite system from TRS and not with the factory projectors...
