What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Mine came with a small clip to hole the opening valve in place.



But, you have to push up & over on the lever. So I dont really see it going anywhere, if you dont have the clip.

 

Added a few extra inches to the lift this past weekend!

 

How do you like those head lights? I've kinda debating on whether or not I want to get them...

 

Overall I like them! I had issues with them on the install (didn't do it myself and some guy messed up the wiring). The actual bulbs are very bright but I thought they would be LED and they're not (just as an FYI).

To be honest, looking back I probably would have gone with something else as there are so many different options out there for the price. But I still like them, just not in love with them.

What rubbing compound did you use and how do you take the headlights out lol I couldn't find it how to do it anywhere

 

theres several writeups somewhere, search the lighting section on any of the BHLM or Retrofit threads.

 

I used just regular turtle automotive polish. This is the most important part in my opinion, to get them right. Make sure you polish them the best you can.

Edit: they make headlight specific polish that would probably work better.

The removal should be about the same. The bolt in the wheel well sucks but it's not hard

 

THOSE LIGHTS ARE SICK

 

Cut my fenders 3" to make more room for 35's. Also finished making some new fender liners for the front since the stock ones were removed. Still need to mock up and cut some liners for the rear wells.

 

Wheels came out amazing! Dark enough to where it doesn’t look ricer but light enough to where it’s noticably not black!

Finally got the roof rack installed this weekend after putting it off for a few months...

 

That field makes me want to do donuts!

 

I guess I could... but its my winter wheat cover crop so probably best not to destroy it!

 

Why'd you go with 3"?

 

Honestly I didn't think anything less than 3" would be enough but now looking at it, if I could do it again id probably go anywhere from 1.5"-2"
