I would sit and think long and hard on it but from here that looks like a pretty good deal.

Buying a used car without seeing it in person can be a big risk.
Also, these trucks, they suffer from severe frame rust and rot issues (yes, even second gen trucks), so I would make it a priority to check the frame thoroughly in person. Or have someone do it for you
Even if the few parts of frame we can see through the wheel wells don't look too bad, I would want to check it. Pictures, most of the time, look better than reality

Normally, the frame is a matte black color and this one is glossy. So it's possible it has been repainted. Also, I always find it strange when they don't show any pictures of the undercarriage and frame, especially on vehicles with known frame rust issues....

Looks like it could possibly have a new frame or its been painted to cover something up...

    none yet
i would email them personally and request more pictures if you cant make the trip to go see it... and ask for every picture imaginable... but before you do make sure you have the funds or financing set up to prove you can afford it and truly interested...looks like a good truck otherwise

Edit: or talk with someone on TW that can go check it out for you and they give can better feedback than most dealers because they actually know what to look for

Carfax says it's grey. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't look grey to me.

No. You might want to go smell it first. Among other things.

Frame rust and flood damage instantly popped into my head. A day off work, a plane ticket, and a rental car could be a whole lot cheaper than all the problems that can come with a 10k sight unseen truck. Maybe reach out and see if anybody on the forum is close and could check it out for you. This looks like too good of a price. I would make sure all the electronics work, the frame is good , and the life is legit.

Cookie spray is cheap and a classic used car dealer trick. I'd look for viscera under those seat covers.

If it is a good truck, do you think the Toyota dealer is going to let a couple grand slip thru their hands?

Take a drive, go check it out, for the price it is worth 4-6 hours of your time. In my opinion.

    stock (for now)
Doubt it, there's probably something wrong with the truck the dealer would find in their inspection that's why the seller is trying to sell it online the price is so cheap it gets people so excited and they don't think rationally. I could be wrong but I would pass up on it unless you can afford to flip the coin
