Since I have created this threat into a personal issues (confusion). I have come to yet another point of hesitation. After reading through other forums; people have suggested to get 4' spindles... since its a lift for 2WD and its about $500.
My question: What is the difference between spindles and spacers?
Question Pt. 2: Does putting off-road tires truly change the riding performance and make it more unstable/bumpy?

Spacers do not allow you to lift and maintain geometry. Spindles will allow you to lift and keep geometry making aligning much easier.

Mud terrain tires will be noisy and some ride rough. A good all terrain tire like the Cooper sT Maxx or the Toyo Open country RT will be much more quiet on the road.

Just did a 2” lift and the shop did a cab mount chop for me for free and repainted it: running 33s with no issues. Power feels the same with the exception when tire is in full lock position. It’s only a very small difference.

You just have to make sure you do the math for offset. I choose 0 offset with 16x8 wheel cause it wouldn’t rub. It won’t have that super aggressive stance, but it’s enough for people to come up to me and ask about em.

First. I dont know anything about the spindles and spacers as I will always go with a suspension lift. but thats me.
2nd, depending on your off-road tire, the ride could be very similar or could totally suck. General consensus is the bigger the tire the worse the acceleration and braking and mpg will go down. It's science but people will argue with it all day long. From my experience ride quality comes from psi. The less air the more the tire soaks up bumps and smoother the ride. Also A/T are almost always more practical but MT are almost always better looking.

35” mud terrains in 3” lift. I am also regeared to 4.88’s and have the OVTune. Gas mileage is around 17 on the highway and around 19 in town. (Manual transmission) The tires I'm running are the new Firestone Destination MT2's and they are probably my favorite MTR over the Nitto's and Toyos I've had in the past. These are super quiet on the road and the traction on and off road is second to none.

There are a bunch of the PreRunner guys running the maxtrac spindles @ChadsPride is one of them. Them combined with a suspension lift you can get up in the 6" lift in the 2wd trucks. What @Trident904 said about the spindles is 100% correct. Also like he said if you call or PM Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road she can help you out. There was some sound advice also look at a bunch of different trucks see what you like what they are running as far as wheels and tires get some ideas research the different options as far as lifts go. If you rush it you'll end up spending the $$$$ twice. I spent almost 7 months researching and planning what I wanted the end result to be and based my choices on that.

A 3 inch lift with 285/75r16 or 285/70r17 looks the best on the 3rd gen in my opinion. As for the wheels, I spent months looking at wheels and trying to decide so it's really up to you

I'm just gonna say, that's not what happened to my truck at all. Went from stock to 285/75r16 and noticed just a tiny bit of change. Not much to kill the truck

To each their own. I just enjoyed the fact that I could get a great looking lift that didn't break the bank and also didn't require upper control arms to be replaced.
