This green is vigorous, dang. Looks like one more mound and then let it go I suppose.

This one has a few moundings left.

What design do you have for your greenhouse? I'm in the valley with no trees for protection. 110mph wind load area and 60mph can be pretty typical.

I'm thinking of 3ft vertical walls with hoops on top of that. A center beam will keep them rigid. And i was going to put a storage shed of the same size 15ft or so to the west to block a little wind.

Second question would be, if i plan on using plastic sheeting, will i see much benefit from lining the outside and the inside to create a bubble for temperature fluctuation? Or would that area need to be sealed up/air tight to make a difference.

The double layer will help even if it's not air tight, but I doubt plastic sheeting will hold up to that kind of wind. A high school near me has a greenhouse, and the roof is plastic sheeting. It's a well made commercial greenhouse, but they are on their third roof. I would go with something more durable. Here are a few photos of mine from earlier in this thread:

Well this is the first year we are going to have a decent sized one...Its a harbor freight 10X12. I got most of the building stuff for a wood floor yesterday. So we'll see how easy or difficult it is to put together.

Trust me, you want to shoot them. They start multiplying and you are screwed. Get them while they arent that many. Get a pellet gun if you have to but get rid of them. You can buy poison as well.

Edit: Read through the reast of the posts. Hope your husky takes care of the problem.

Mason bees don't create holes , they use existing holes and are beneficial pollinators

They're called Mason Bees because they use mud to build their nests between cracks in stone (or in masonry) or in splits/cavities in wood, etc.

Male carpenter bees are the huge ones. They don’t sting, but they try to intimidate and sometimes do a good job of it. The small one is the female. She stings.
