You're right! I just reread the law and it's only commercial vehicles that need em.

Didn't hear anything. Just began to notice some sag and then finally started paying attention to the ride being rougher.

Changed my 4.0 V6 spark plugs today. The old plugs were Denso K20HR-U11 which the Tacoma manual calls for. They weren't in too bad of condition but I already was in to the job so I swapped them out.
The new plugs I installed are Denso SK20HR-11 which the manual says are for the tacoma 4cyl. So I called the Autozone I bought these at to be sure they were okay for my truck. According to them they were what their computer was calling for.

Are any of you running these plugs???

My truck runs fine on them. The main difference in the two plugs are the tips of the electrode, K20HR is flat where the SK20HR is a sharp pointed electrode. I saved my old plugs if any issues arise I'll clean them up and reinstall them.

    I put K20HR-U11 in my 4.0L V6 1GR-FE
Check out this thread if you haven't already: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-spark-plug-change-1-gr-fe.30479/

ETA: I know that the 2.7L 4 cyl uses iridium plugs that get changed every 100,000 miles. The 4.0L V6 uses standard plugs that are supposed to be changed every 30,000 miles. I have the 4.0L V6 and I changed mine for the first time at 90,000. I'll change them again at 180,000.

New brakes should be here this week and then next up is 315/70/17 Cooper STTs can't wait to get both those on.
Maintenance mods are just about caught up again then hopefully back to just "mods" haha. Need a rear bumper so bad!
I also redid my steering rack and outer tie rods and ends last month. Lasted up to 485000 (canadian) kilometres.

Thanks for the link to spark plug info.

I see some guys are running these iridium plugs and getting a lot of miles out of them. Guess it won't hurt to leave them in then. Changing the plugs was a lot easier than the serpentine belt I did yesterday!

Please read the links, I don't think anyone with a 4.0L V6 is running the iridium plugs (SK20HR-11) only the 2.7L 4cyl engines are running those. I use the K20HR-U11 (standard plug). I just don't change them at the interval the owner's manual calls for

Yeah, not trying to debate which is best, just whether they will be Okay to run in my V6. I'll probably go back to the OEM next time I change them.
