I agree with @FirstTimeFirstGen i would just make some 1/4” plates maybe 3”x3” and weld them to the existing bump plate with a small gusset. I don’t think I would even worry about the tire rubbing since it looks like they would stick out on the opposite side of the frame.

Ended up moving the strike pads back and boxed them in and moved them inboard a little bit. Seems like it'll work and my little lincoln 140 and youtube education are starting to work well enough. Went for a cruise on scott rd-s shingle dirt road, did some river crossings, flexed the truck and someone left a dead pitbull on the side of the road. Seriously bummed me and my gf out, animal control said they'd handle it tomorrow. Sucks that people do that shit.

I used this site https://hamstudy.org/. Studied until I could pass a couple times. Set up a test. Passed. Check out this site http://www.arrl.org/exam_sessions/search for a test in your area. They also have a day class which I hear is boring but everyone passes.
After i finished my test they had me sit and wait in the room with all the people taking the cram session while they graded my test. It looked like all of their eyes were bleeding and they wanted to die. I was in and out within a half hour. Also https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/norcal-cb-ham.92789/page-4

I looked at some of those questions.......is there a booklet or something? I'm used to radios, how to use them, how to talk, but capacitors, conductors, attenuation, flux capacitation... what? Low pass pi filters? This is a new language and I immediately feel stupid. I clicked "amateur flash cards" and got some advanced questions.... like this is a basic one

How many times per second is a new frame transmitted in a fast-scan (NTSC) television system?
    • A.
      60
    • B.
      120
    • C.
      90
    • D.
      30
    I don't know

    Or

Which of the following filters would be the best choice for use in a 2 meter repeater duplexer?
    • A.
      A DSP filter
    • B.
      An L-C filter
    • C.
      A crystal filter
    • D.
      A cavity filter
:smash: am I missing something or did this end up actually being hard?

I did the technician test which is where you should start. It’s all you need to pass unless you want to go for a higher license class. I would probably fail if I took it today but I just took the practice test until I was 90% or above consistently.
This is what I hear. I wasn’t going to suffer thru that!

    Some really cool shit

I had the book for months. No discipline to sit and study. Took the all day cram. Brutal. But worth it. Missed two out of 35.

In case anyone is curious, here is how the Maxsa Escaper Buddy looks after a fair amount of use. Haven't tried using them doubled up as a ramp/bridge. Might get another set.

Was gonna say my TREDs helped out a few people in Pismo. I never used them for myself but glad I had them.
