There is another mod thats literally pvc if your looking to save money, I think its in the diy sticky on the 1st gen page

 

I initially connected my CB to 'switched' power, but it was annoying to have to need the ignition key to talk. There were many times that I would need to talk on the CB while in camp, or having lunch on the trail, I went to direct battery connection (fused of course).

I've never heard of anyone draining the battery just because of the CB. Besides, even when left on (and not transmitting) the units use so little power that it would likely take weeks to drain a battery.

We get people from areas like that traveling through Wyoming all the time. They seem to think thats the norm here to. Well local law enforcement is always more than happy to educate them.

 

This happen to a friend last night. Took my 3.4 Tacoma and another 2.4 4Runner to get him out. We think it hydro-locked.

Just picked up a 2002 Double Cab PreRunner with 86k miles for 10K

 

I want to get away from the blacked-out rims, any suggestions on another color? I like the silver that @2BeersPlease had on his old rims or the 2nd gen grey metallic. What say you?

 

Maybe find some take off alloys. It always seems like people are giving first gen alloys away for nothing in my area

 

I think my 4Runner rims would look great with your truck color. Kinda old school, but they look so correct to me. The silver really shows the design, which is what I like bout them.
