Okay I guess I'm that one guy who can screw up the simplest task. I tried installing today and camera didn't work. I am using a DPDT switch. Started off in drive, switched I to on which is front camera nothing. Switched to II on for rear view nothing. Turned the switched off then shifted the car to reverse. It took a while for the car to get into gear. Once in gear I hear a pop and now the head unit does not turn on. Reverse lights do not come on also. I checked the fuse box in the engine bay and all fuses are intact. For the interior ground I used the ground point near the passenger glove box when the head unit was popped out.

So now the head unit does not turn on what so ever nor does the reverse light. Any ideas on how to.solve?

    Ouch!

I can try to help if I saw pictures of what your wiring looks like. Try uploading pictures of the back of the head unit connections, relay connections and DPDT switch connections.

I'll have to upload it another day. I attempted to install it at my brothers place on a time crunch. So I learned my lesson trying to rush things. I will get pictures uploaded tomorrow or the following day.

After getting support from JJ, I found that the ecu-acc fuse was blown. Replaced it, and everything is working back to normal. Next part is dissecting the cables and see what I did wrong.

I have no idea. I haven’t looked at the kit too closely.

Your not the only one. Mine worked fine after initial install then the morning on way to work, all center control switches went out, window switches and headlights went out. Uninstalled kit, Checked all fuses and it was the ECU fuse too. Replaced it and everything seems back to normal too. I’m an idiot when it comes to electrical mods so I’m not going try again. Kit was nice though.

Glad I'm not alone. I found out what I did wrong with the help of JJ. I had my front cam wire in the wrong location of the diode. Going to attempt reinstall this weekend or so. Hoping that it goes smooth.

When I blew the ecu-acc fuse, I also got a check engine light for p0750. Every time I shifted into reverse and gave it a little throttle it felt like I was getting rear ended. Once I replaced the fuse. Everything returned back to normal by the following day. Crazy how one fuse could do so much damage

I installed everything as directed but I guess the back of the switch I used needed to be shielded he said and I grounded the kit to a bolt in the dash which I found after I shouldn't have done. I'm not electrical expert and didn't know that so lesson learned. And your so right about how one small fuse effects so many parts of the truck. I'm now carrying spare fuses and a circuit tester in my truck!

Can someone that has installed this guys mod help us out with a real good how-to on the install. I have it but after reading several of the posts I’m real hesitant to install this without a real good instructions instructions or even a video. My biggest concern is what wires to tap into. Thanks whoever.

Dang, I was looking into this kit a couple weeks ago and went to try to buy today and got slapped with the "No longer available" message. Time to go wash my truck with my tears

Wonder if this not being available has anything to do with the PM that I received from someone on here saying that the OP stole his product? PM is below:

JJ Johnson (trdmod.com) stole my design, my intellectual property and sell it without my permission. My Attorney is ready to take him to the court. He has been warned and under monitor of my attorney.
If you feel you can DIY then here is my schematic that I posted for our members to DIY...
If you want to buy it then here is the link from me.
