    I am confused...

I thought the post from Ruggybuggy meant that a NEW or revised TSB was out that covered the MT.

He was saying that tongue-in-cheek. It is the improved TSB, just incorrectly limited to the AT.

Technically yes, it is for the MT, but in the TSB its listed for AT only. That's why so many folks here are having trouble getting their dealers to flash it.

After driving for a day, WOW, this is what a manual truck should drive like! No bucking, no surging, no nose-dives, no bullshit!

Some have been asking us to post service invoices to try and back them up at their dealer, here you go! @Rujack

Alright. I think I have talked with the local folks that have posted in this thread on PMs. @mstrbrc is kindly loaning out his Tactrix cable to me. It is due to me this Friday, tomorrow. I will update my Taco straight away to be sure that I am set. I have the version of TS that he linked a few pages back loaded and working on my old laptop.

My plan is to be available on Saturday to update whoever wants the TSB. @WaTaco2018 is dropping by at 9a.

Anyone else want in on the party?

I will have my tactrix here in a few hours.

Would someone whose done it let me know which version of techstream was used?

Is it necessary to use v 13.10.019 like is ststed in the TSB?

I have a very old version only goes up to 2014 models.

If someone has a newer version could you PM me with info on how to obtain?

    Thank you guys.

And again, anyone in south Florida who wants the update, let me know. Im happy to help a fellow taco owner.

Use the info in this post:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/software-update-for-the-manual.562550/page-29#post-18471906

That is known, working version of TS for the 3rd Gens.

With the drivers from Tactrix.com or whatever comes with your cable.

    Plus the CUW files:

I might actually have access to a Tactrix tomorrow. It's a big old maybe though.

We'll see how it works out tomorrow afternoon. I'm good at letting the smoke out of electronics. But, I always have a hammer handy to fix it. :smash:

Just FYI for anyone trying the techstream route for the update. I used the same site as mentioned above, but got the TS version 12.20 working on my laptop, which covers through 2018 Tacomas (I'm not actually sure if 12.00 covers 2018? Anyone know?)

For the flash, you should have TS and the Tactrix drivers installed, as well as the correct CUW file for your year (16-17 = T-0033-18, 18 = T-0037-18). Plug the one end of your Tactrix into your USB on your computer and, with your truck off, the other end into your OBD. Click on the CUW file to run the flash (you do not need TS open to run the flash, you only need TS so your computer knows what to do with the CUW file when you try to run it)... Once the CUW file is running, your computer will prompt you with the rest of the step by step instructions.

Did you successfully flash the ecu with this version?

    Thanks
