    Used shorter belt removed AC compressor and lower idler

    I am told I will have to do some wiring to make the defrost work

    With the service history on this truck unknown and High KM I want to change the transmission fluid also pulling the transmission base pan and change the filter. This does not look to be that hard but everywhere it is talked about no one drops the pan and changes the filter.

    I also have the dreaded stiff shiftier, random no start, long lag time before the gear is selected and the trans kicks in. I am thinking changing the fluid and a new NSS should fix these problems.

    I also have the fear that i damaged the parking pawl as when i was trying to shift to park it made this grinding sound then stopped. I took my foot off the brake when in park and it started to role back i applied the brake and went to N then to P again and the truck held. I have lost confidence in P do i now have a block of wood behind the wheel.

    thoughts on fluid change, filter, NNS, parking, world peace and how to become rich. ????

    I would assume changing the filter would be just like any other auto. I just did a spill and fill on my trans, wasn't bad. Hardest part was the refill. I'm pretty amazed at how different the trans behaves with clean fluid and my mileage has gone up slightly. I got 17.5 mpg out of the last tank!

    3" lift? A.R.E cap 285/70/17 moto metal 955 17x9


    No one changes the filter cause there isn't one just a screen.

    "stiff shifter" see the wife for that fix, j/k have you disassembled the shifter consul in the cab and cleaned everything, soda or coffee spilled on there will make the plastic pieces sticky and hard to move which could also be the cause of the random no start.

    Ordered a NSS and a transmission filter from rock auto today. Not to rant but how can I order a part from the USA pay the conversion and shipping and still be well ahead then anything in Canada ?
