    I'll say more like for Media, was thinking to use the Mirroring with HDMI direct. I could be wrong but I bought the cable, and purchased the Amazon Wiistar Mini HD Video converter box, however the picture quality is not that impressive and seems disappointing. So I was wondering if somehow use HDMI directly, that might fix the issue.

    Yeah. Those boxes will down convert HDMI to either the best they can output or the best quality that the head unit can handle.

    I finally got around to installing my HAI cable. I wanted to mirror my phone and charge @ the same time so I went with using the apple AV adapter. I did try a mirror box but had 2 units that were DOA so I ended up using iSimple ISHD01 MediaLinx HDMI To Composite Video/Audio Adapter Cable because it claims to be iPhone compatible. A cheap HDMI to RCA adaptor also works. I also added a fuse tap to get power to the switches and tapped in to the dash fuse along with USB power tapped into the cigaret lighter.

    I replace the GPS toggle switch with a dash mounted switch listed below. I ended up making a custom bracket to mount the switch in the drivers side cubby. If I had to do it again I’d use this OEM Style Switch Panel for 3rd Gen Cubby. I made some mods to the stereo bezel adding a notch to let the lightning extender cable and used a screw to attach the magnetic holder.

    Are the HAI cables still available? I'm trying to build a cleaner system for my dash and everything.

    They should be. He makes them in batches, but goes out of town/availability occasionally. I haven’t looked back in the thread to see if he said, but hopefully he will respond here.

    @Hoangde ?

    Got mine in, waiting on rear switch but everything is run and works. Ran the switches to the left. Mounted mine similar to others, but further back. Don't have to remove any panels besides the radio bezel to run wires over there. The A/V I drilled a hole in the left side of the glove box and it's in there now. Gives me room to mount an A/V switch and other things without issues.

    It did take some time for the GPS to catch up once the over ride switch was on, but then it worked fine.. :thumbsup:

    Nice!! Looks clean, I want to do mine like that with front and rear options! So it was easy to wire it so front and rear camera switches to work seperately pretty easy? Do you also need a seperate camera override switch? I am a novice and still trying to go through all the notes and figure it out.

    Thank you.. :thumbsup:
    No, not hard at all.. but i do highly suggest you look at the other posts on this thread and see how others did it, how they ran the cables, connect, install the over ride switch ect, this helped me a lot..
    to me the hardest part was, pulling and keeping the HU out, apparently the cables connected to the radio are short and didn't allow me to pull the radio much, so room to fish the HAI cable was limited.. other than than everything else was pretty simple and straight forward..
    also, be gentle when pulling the plastic trims out, i broke one tab...
    good luck..
