Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
Would love o know more about the recall, eg documents or dates of recall if anyone has them.

A brief search shows a head gasket recall for the 3.4L V6 but not the 4.0L V6.

5 yrs 60k miles .that was the only time they would cover it under. And of course they failed after 100k normally.

Can anyone in here with more knowledge on this help this gentlemen? Mechanic milled his heads and valves .005 and now it's throwing a p0012. I remember reading about milling down the heads on these trucks and it causing the timing to be off, but I do not have much knowledge on the subject other than that. Figured someone in here with some experience might be able to chime in

Milled the heads and valves the exact same amount? Sounds like a generic answer. Get a flashlight, look at the heads gasket between the heads and block on each side. You should be able to see, above the head gasket where they milled the heads. Did they mill bank 2 more than bank 1?

So is this saying 11/2015 is when they started using the different head gaskets, and any produced after that date shouldn't have the issue?

Mine blew at 124,000 i happened to b running 70 miles an hour down I-75 south! There were no gaskets or headbolts available anywhere! The centers of the headbolt heads were strpped! As far as i know no-one had been in it since it left the dealership!

That's a lot of exclamation points. How were the headbolts stripped if no one had been in it?
