    Morning

Crashed little mans drone at work yesterday. Called one of the repair places and got a quote of $250 to fix it. Guess I’ll use one of my DJI refresh chances for a replacement for $49. Oopsie.

Morning guys, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the fog light wiring mod. I've got it wired to the ignition hot (green) wire in the fuse box, but now I can't run the fogs without the truck turned on. Normally not a problem, but when I do need to use my headlights/fogs for working in the dark and the truck off, only the headlights will work. Can someone point me to a spot in the fuse box to tap into the parking lights. I'm sure this has been posted somewhere else, but I haven't been able to find it so far. Thanks.

yes. I got it from a different thread on here. I tapped into ignition but I think it will suit me better to hook to the park lights.

Can you paste the link on here you followed. If I recall there are about 4-5 different ways of doing it.

I did this method without the wire splice. I added a thin lead to the end of the wire and shoved into the wiring harness.

Progress on the chase rack. Mounts finished and half of the base completed. There will be another matching tube on the passenger side as well.

I went with an IBS system (National Luna is another but after researching I went with IBS) but there are a lot cheaper routes to go. Do a search on the forum and you will find some low budget solutions (link and link). Here is one commercial setup beside IBS and National Luna (link). That said, I like my IBS system because I have a controller that can delink the batteries or link them up depending on what you are doing (link them up for winching for example). National Luna did not have this in the past but they do now. We discussed before the need for a dual battery plate to replace the existing one in our trucks. I am open to someone making a pattern off mine if they want Jerneyman to fabricate (available weekday evenings during the hunting season). The install is not a quick process particularly if you upgrade your wiring to heavier wires which is recommended. Also not familiar with Gen 3's and if they are fitment issues versus the Gen 2's. What I would like to do to eliminate a bunch of weight on the front and move the batteries under the bed of the truck.

So theoretically, you just need to tap into a sufficient power source that doesn't require ACC or truck turned on to draw power. I assume you realize you can't run both headlights and foglights very long like this since they will drain your battery quite quickly. I am limited to what sites and pictures I can get to on my work PC but I will look around and see what I can find.

Yes I understand I can't run them for a "real" long time, but before I did the wiring mod I used my headlights we used my headlights for over an hour while doing some work on my brother's driveway. I have all LEDs up front, so not much power draw. I think the best place to splice in will be the parking light hot wire. This will give me the best of both worlds. It will allow me to run the lights by turning the switch after power is off, but kill the lights automatically when I turn the truck off without worrying about the switch.

The plan is to just have the contractor demolish it all and haul off. If you'd like to work something out where you come help and demo you can have them. That would save me on contractor cost and give you cabinets.
