    Some pics and more details:

Hopefully got my ac leak wrapped up. Replaced all the lines up front on the drier as well as a new drier. Fuck this job.

Also did some bumper touch up work now that winter is hopefully over, and fixed my non sealing door.

Got a line on a new gas tank from a junk yard. Slowly gathering parts for the big rear end re-do.

If there's one feeling I don't like when wheeling, it's sliding uncontrollably like in that first video. At least you were in that little chute though, to keep you going the right direction. haha.

Yeah I don't mind when in a chute, as long as nothing gets in the way you are good.

This slide on the other hand is one of the more uncomfortable slides, even though it was very short, it had the heart skip a beat.

Hoping to knock out tundy brakes and that at the same time to do a complete brake flush and bleed only once. Only will feel dumb when I am bolting the stupid LSPV back onto the newly boxed frame only to be removing it again not long after.

Is your charcoal canister in the bay or on the tank? I really want the valve in the bay but the cannister is there.

Very good, Tundras are worth the work. Big difference. With rear discs I need the rear adj manual prop.
03-04 (mine) the canisters are under the bed. Going to make a bracket that bolts to my master cylinder to mount mine.

I wish the ac lines were a little neater. Seems like someone just got lazy and said good enough. They're in the way for an intercooler.

ABS delete is also on my list. It'll be nice having that brick out of the engine bay.

Yup. Are a pain to maneuver too. Also going to put some rubber around the line that passes the center support in the core after hearing you rubbed through. Different situation but I don’t want to touch this shit again like ever.

Picked this up for $130 from a local parts yard.

Going to clean the rust up, touch the paint up and hit the edges with a fuel sealer just in case. Will probably leave the current pump in there and keep mine as a spare. Then I can swap my fucked tank and put the beefier skid on.

Also got a small moving dolly from HF to make moving this damn thing a little easier.

Good call on the dolly, Mike. Those tombstones are not light!

How much are new fuel pumps for these trucks? I’m too lazy to look and I’m assuming you already have

With all the time I've spend around my fuel tank lately it doesn't look terribly difficult to raise it if you're going to have the bed off and boxing the frame. I wish I had gotten rid of the factory crossmember and plated all the way to the factory box portion of the frame. Then add another tube crossmember on top of the frame(not sure if it would be able to go that high without the BL) to hang the tank from.

I just took a look at what you are talking about. The plan was to cut the tank crossmember out and weld it back in, but it definitely can be raised in the rear very easily. The only concern is the more forward crossmember mounting point. That would be a little more of a PITA to raise but I think it's still doable. I do worry that I won't have the DS protection I used to if it's tucked up more, but I guess that's why I carry a spare

Cut the old bracket off and I think some 3x2 angle could be burned in its place for the front.

I was thinking cut, raise, gusset or box. Why drill holes and weld nuts if you don’t gotta? :p

I haven’t looked yet but I can’t imagine they are expensive. Thing is they rarely go bad on these trucks and I have two working ones now so why bother getting a new one? :notsure:

I hear ya. I was just curious if you had already looked into it. The only reason I’d change mine would be for a SC, so I won’t be replacing mine for a long time, looks like :D

The Walbro or whatever? Yeah, I think they’re significantly cheaper than the OEM pumps.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with your tank. I’m pretty sure you’ll be doing all of that stuff before me, so I’ll be all

When you do pull the tank and swap, take a peak and see the condition inside of the tank. Mostly the strainer/filter going to the fuel pump motor. That gets clogged over time and puts more strain on the pump. Rockauto carries Denso fuel pumps, not a bad job at all to replace the motor, strainer, and rubber hoses connecting the pump to the top inlets and outlets. With my 1.5" body lift, I didnt even half to drop the tank completely. Was enough room to drop the front, disconnect the hoses from the return, fill neck, evap, etc. and just pull right out.

It was a piece of mind thing when I cleaned the injectors and replaced the fuel filter.
