Well I've been doing this mod last night and this morning and it's been a PITA because I have no soldering experience. I finally got them all working except the fuel light. The solder isn't sticking to the board on one side. Any suggestions? I've scraped it a little and cleaned it with alcohol but with no luck. I'm thinking maybe a wire brush?

if solder is not sticking to the board, you might have ripped off the pad that the solder melts to! is it completely green underneath, or is the pad still there? it should not take much at all to melt solder to the pad itself.

DONT do a wire brush, you will completely mess it up!

clean the tip of your solder gun and retin the tip. then touch the pad of the board...this will clean it better than any alcohol or anything will. if you are sure the pad is still there, any solder will melt almost immediately.

yea, im really like yours w/ the orange ODO.

BTW, i picked up a gentex 3.5 mirror w/ money i got from selling a bunch of crap the ex-wife left for me to deal w/! i have already installed the mirror and tailgate handle/camera (i made a post of what all need to be done to mount it as OEM as possible, BTW), getting the wiring harnesses i forgot at my parents this weekend and the whole thing should be wired up next week!

Lucky dog. I'm jealous. Dude, I'm sorry about the divorce. I didn't know. It sounded like you two were happy... especially when you rolled your old truck with her in it. Memories right? Got to love them. Well, if you ever come across the harness I would need, keep me in mind.

my pleasure..and yeah...about that..if you had trouble w/ the cluster...radio is going to be terrible for you. the OEM led are even smaller, and the pads are extremely small...like 1MMx1MM small...no joke.

if you want a radio done, check my forsale thread here. i have several colors/types that i will custom make for you. or if you want to send me your own radio, i'll do it as listed in my LED thread.

and concerning the AC...not going to happen either unless you plan on doing red...there is orange plastic in there that cannot be changed.

So my tach light went out the other day. I tried to fix it but instead ended up ripping two of the pads off of the board :( Is there any possible fix or do I have to buy a new board? And if so where can I buy one? I've been searching all morning with no luck.
