Installed a Roav Viva last night. Played with it this morning. It’s just “okay”. It doesn’t hear me when music is playing at mid levels. For the price I got it for, $41, I’ll probably keep it. I’m a heavy Amazon Music user and it’s nice to call up my playlists via Alexa. I have until the 31st to return it if I change my mind.

Also, odd behavior observation. If i had the Amazon Music app playing on my iPhone prior to starting the truck, it will auto start playing from the Amazon app. I have to stop it and then engage Alexa. However, you must close out the Amazon Music app and clear the playlist. If you simply pause it and then ask Alexa to play something, it will revert back to the Amazon app and begin playing when you raise the volume.

Quirky, but I’ll see if I can manage.

 

Direct bolt on. There is a hidden hitch under the license plate so the stock hitch came off to giving it more clearance.

Solid! I put a good 6 coats on it so... not bad. Even when I was trying to figure out my from camera location, I was wedging it in there pretty good and it didn’t peel at all...

don't be so quick to knock 'em. newer speakers (even the non-JBL ones) are using neodymium magnets. the same power as ceramic mags at 1/4 of the weight. i actually miss the bass response after jumping to Kickers all around.

 

What advantage does the viva provide? I use Amazon music and Alexa works from the app for me. Usually does pretty well even when the music is up. Thanks.

Received the @MESO Total tail lights stage 2, it's a really cool kit, so I installed it immediately. It was a 30 minute install, the part I hated was to drill out the bottom light socket port to accommodate the new switch back bulb socket, it was cringe worthy, however, I drilled with a step drill with no issues. I highly recommend this kit.
