Anytime Front and Rear Camera Mod

Installed the Car Solutions / Natika setup yesterday. Love it.

This part of the front cam cables gets really warm. Is it normal? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Mine stays room temp, sounds like something on yours is pulling some amps! Cameras don’t pull enough to get warm. Strange!

 

Maybe you have yours wired directly to power or the temp is from the engine bay

 

I’m having issues with the link for Anytime Front & Rear purchase. anyone else having same problem.

The web page indicates the harness and camera is available, so what switch are using.

 

The switch I bought is no longer for sale on Amazon. Its a dual toggle thats labeled front camer/rear camer and has a picture of a camera on it. There are tons of switches like it available all over the internet.

 

Thanks, I've looked and non like the one Anytime camera sells Guess any on-off-on style switch that fits the hole will fit. Been to the ch4x4 page they have some

 

I just ordered the full kit off of their website, but I didn't get an option to specify where I'm mounting the switch. Anyone else run into this?

 

How hard was it to get the switch mounted up by the crawl control switches?

 

so what do you guys think is the best set up for the front and rear anytime cam?

 

I'm running out of switch room, ha. I can make the switch that comes with this kit work if I either:
A- redo the overhead switch area and add a spot
B- swap the pre-existing AC inverter switch for a Gen 2 one (if that would even work) and put it there, then move the AC switch up into my added switch plate area

or I could just find a different switch that is the bigger size and use that instead. Anyone found a bigger OEM style dual rocker switch that would work?

 

no clue if it would work but can you get a large size blank and then cut the center out to fit the small switch ?

Where and how is the best mounting location for the front camera on a stock TRD Off Road with TSS?

I just did the same and also used the Natika camera. Question I have is what wire on the camera do I need to snip? Right now if I go in reverse my backup comes on as normal but when I shift to drive it will go to the front camera until i hit the mode button to shut it off. How do I make it so it only comes on when i double tap the mode button?

Try papadave's thread. He seems to have sourced both switch sizes in F/R rockers.
