Any reason not to consider the TRD Pro wheels?

I just bought RX350 retros for what’s probably less money and better output

OP - you also just missed the sale of the decade a month or two ago for all TRD goodies. Bad timing :(

I have been thinking about that also. But then, the stock lighting seems to work, esp after adjusting them just a bit. We'll see what drops and what happens over the next few years.

I use chemical guys ez creme to polish, then just any wax each time i do the truck. That particular picture just had Meguiars Ultimate on it. I've used others with good luck as well. The key is to not let too much time pass as anything will eventually lose it's shedding ability.

Ridgeline seems to be the default punching bag on TW.

    Love it!

It’s marketing. Double dipping on people who want Pro wheels and those who *need* to have TRD stamped on everything.

Inside of the wheels will have OEM stamping.

    Wrong.

285's fit on the 16" Pro wheels, with minimal amount of heatgun work on the inner fender wells.

Ran them for nearly 40k miles on stock suspension. No spacers anywhere. Cleared the UCA and CM just fine.

    Driving in a straight line.

Plenty of folks run 285s on the 17” Pro wheels just fine. I’m pretty sure the 3rd Gen forum was founded on those wheels being paired with on it with 33” tires.

16” Pro wheel width is within specs for 285s.

I have these on my Quicksand Taco with General AT2 tires. My only complaint is they don't balance very well. Everytime I have the tires rotated, they have to pull them off and balance them. Plus the weight are silver on a black wheel.

Plenty of folks run 285s on the TRD Pro wheels... yes. But (again) >TECHNICALLY< they are too narrow for 285s (I should have specified for SOME 285s)

Example... BF Goodrich says their 285s should be mounted on 7.5-9 inch wheels. The TRD Pro wheels are 7 inch... therefore you may experience problems getting them mounted because some shops will not mount a tire on a wheel that is less than/more than the manufacture recommended wheel size. Can it be done? Sure. But, not all shops will do it for you.

That’s only the 17” model, and I’m aware. I was also saying it can be done, but it’s outside of spec. Unlikely to have issue in most applications, but worth noting that if you blow a bead or something .. well, ya rolled the dice.

I’m talking wheel. You’re talking tire. The TRD Pro wheels are 16x7.5 or 17x7.
