    Anyone know how the HP Tuner works on a SC engine with the BullyDog tune? Does it overwrite it with the TRD tune + whatever changes you you enter since they both use the same calibration ID?

    Worked no problem for me but I had bullydog, then overwritten by OVTune then overwritten by hptuner. 98% sure you will be good to go

    My shit is all stock.
    If the bullydog tune uses the same calibration ID as the TRD tune for your truck, Then you'll be downloading the TRD tune from HP and tuning that. The bullydog will cease to exist. So, Yeah. Just like you're thinking.

    I've read a few complaints on here about the BullyDog, and the install procedure was a royal pain (for reasons not entirely due to my learning curve), but I don't really have any complaints about the installed tune. It was supposed to be able to change some convenience features, and I used it to turn off the seatbelt chime, but once I did that it locks up anytime I tried to use that feature again so it's been sitting in the toolbox since then.

    I was mostly curious as to whether going this route would lead to some of the transmission shifting issues that have been mentioned with the TRD tune. Although it sounds like there is now the ability to adjust that back out.

    I used the bullydog to delete my seatbelt chime too. I also still use the display (exhaust temperatures, throttle percentage and battery level, at the moment) with no problems even though I'm tuned with hptuner.
