Just to comment on all tire/suspension upgrades:

    - Lift will get your skids, rocker panels, trailer hitch, exhaust pipe further off the ground - better approach/breakover/departure angles.
    - Taller tires gonna get EVERYTHING further off of the ground - skids, trailer hitch, rocker panels, pumpkin, front spindles, rear shock mounts, etc.
    - Thicker shock bodies will reduce heat buildup and fade over washboards, they're a great, wonderful, beautiful thing.

There's a lot of negatives to 35's IMO, 33's seem a good compromise, even 32's. Couple those with a quality AT tire, a quality lift with thicker shocks, you'll be able to handle most terrain. Best of luck.

OP, about a year and a half ago you were asking for financial advise as you felt you were struggling with your truck payments. Did you solve those (including restarting contributions to your retirement)?

If not, then maybe you should think about pumping the brakes on the whole lift and 35's and getting yourself into further financial hardships and potential physical hardships testing out those 35's.

If you did get yourself in a better financial situation, then send that shit. Send it good on 35's and a dream.

Kamille.bidan, post: 21041919, member: 218629"I don't hate the Tacoma. The Ranger is just a better vehicle. I don't know what else there is to say. My Tacoma is paid for, and I have plenty of cash. If anything, I could probably sell my Tacoma and buy a ranger without having to fork-up any cash. Might even come out ahead due to the Ranger being so cheap with rebates." https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/talk-me-out-of-getting-a-ranger.608305/page-33#post-21041919

Nah, he loaded and may be putting the 35's on the Ranger

From complaining about the monthly payments being too much with a third kid on the way to paying off $20k+ loan in little over a year. What a time to be alive!

Considering its diesel power youtube im surprised they even had 35s in that lineup everyone knows you run 44s or nothing on your big rigs, rookies.

Go Big or go home!! jk.. I have run 32.8s, 33.3 pizza cutters, 33.5s, and 35s on 4 different Toyotas... What I loved about 35s was it was like off roading on pillows and almost never touching down. I have run 32.8s, as mentioned and I touched down a lot on features and they are not that fun to off road with. Right now I am running 295/75/16s, 33.5 and I love them. Very similar off road feel to 35s without the weight and reminder that I should be re-gearing...

I also think it matters what rig you're running them on. Some rigs and lifts will just look better with a 35. So I think you gotta look at the stance and determine what will look right.

Can I put BF goodrich all terrains on stock wheels, and stock suspension and be fine with no issues?

Yes, if you are trying to fit a larger tire under articulation on a Tacoma you have to usually cut something anyway.

depends on what size. Your stock wheels are 7" wide I think and they have a limitation on size tire. Size also plays a role with rubbing on UCA and Body mount, stock front bumper..

You get a free pass into the Circus w/35's on a Tacoma. Lifetime pass, if it's on 20's with 35's. Clown's love them.

I'm gonna throw out some numbers based on no facts at all:

93% get big tires and lifts for the look, or their Instagram page, chicks, small dick size, etc. and spend a stupid amount of money for it. A fair portion of these trucks are sold back with less than 10k miles because the buyer can no longer afford it due to their expensive mods.

4% want to do some more intense off-roading, trails, overloading, etc. The expensive tires and lift facilitate their hobby needs.

2% are given everything in life, and have earned nothing for themselves. Daddy's pocketbook built their Taco, and they have no mechanical intuition whatsoever. This category is not mutually exclusive from the 93% category.

1% or less are sponsored, have YouTube channels, or contribute to the Tacoma society in some meaningful way. We love these guys or gals.

This dude shows up in the most random threads and post pictures of his mall crawler that hasn’t seen a speck of dust in its life:rofl: poor Tacoma probably doesn’t know what driving off pavement is, especially with that light bar that probably isn’t even wired:crapstorm:
