    So, anyway....

I just returned from a 6 week stay in Florida today (assisting my elderly parents with some med issues).

Instead of the usual RT 95 method, which I have been using for years, I decided to take my time and utilize the backroads for the entire 3 day journey back home. A lot more scenic and quieter without all those 18 wheelers about to run you down.

Normally, I listen to Sirius XM radio and like the relaxing stations that play "spa" type soothing music. Today, I began to become aware of a low pitched sound that seemed very regular and cyclic, so I attributed it to something from the music. After all, it is supposed to be relaxing. Trouble was, it was present in all of the songs being played.

Turned the radio off and listened. It was still there. I can't really explain exactly what it sounds like except that it reminds me of a very low pitched sound that reminds me of someone blowing lightly across the top of an open glass bottle, only with a slight "hollow metallic" ring to it.

It is very rhythmic, and can be heard almost exactly 20 seconds apart as I actually timed it with my cell phone timer. Sometimes, it is slightly louder or quieter than the previous one before it, but it is definitely very steady and precise.

It happens during coasting, acceleration, going uphill, downhill, around curves, etc. I even heard it down to about 25-30 mph while going thru a small town.

I really can't say if today was the first day it started, as I do drive a lot in heavier traffic and frequently have the windows open.

Really, I am not making this up. Any thoughts out there? Truck only has slightly over 4K on it.

The blowing over a bottle noise /sounds/ like the typical rear diff howl - but that happens based on speed and throttle - not randomly every 20 seconds....
    ....
    Good luck!

So, is that "normal" or something to be concerned about? Probably taking it in for its 5K checkup within the month.

As far as being every 20 seconds, the sound was very low but audible and timely. I was doing primarily highway driving at steady speeds or long straight backroads where I was definitely aware of it with the windows closed. My last hour of driving was either open windows or torrential rain, so I could hear squat then.

The holes on the lower control arms are known to make random whistling noises on the highway. It's usually exacerbated with a lift kit due to moving the LCAs further away from the the body. You can fix with plastic hole plugs or skid plates.

More like if you took an open glass bottle and blew across the top very lightly just enough to make the sound appear, then stop. It was very precise in its 3-4 second length and 20 second appearance. I could not determine where it sounded like it was coming from, IE., front, back, inside, outside, etc.

My driver side mirror howls at certain speeds and sometimes if the wind is just strong enough in the right direction. It does it a little worse now that someone drove by and smacked it with their mirror when parked on the street. (Narrow roads). So its cracked and doesnt quite fit/line up just right.
I see it more of an issue with the upper trims that have the turn signal there.

Is it a similar sound to the LCA and rear diff howl?

To my knowledge, yes. Not many have complained about it though.

I had a wheel bearing go bad on a Mitsubishi Diamante. Very rhythmic. The period between hums changed with speed though.

    Try turning off the A/C.

If the sound goes away, your blower fan is wonky. There's a TSB for that I believe.

OP has a 2019 so the LCA whistle 'should' have been addressed. It was primarily found in the 2016 models, even my 2017 came with the LCA already plugged

Op, did you run the fan on all the time? It’s possible you are hearing the Darth Vader breathing sound that comes with the HVAC system.
