    It's interesting to see another passenger side coilbucket failure.

    I don't think anyone's had the same issue with the drivers side. :notsure:

    Congrats on catching it early. I highly recommend a close inspection of the LCA as well, In particular, look for cracks forming where the lower strut mounts are welded to the arm.

    so i understand the battery weight cracking the driver's side (good reason to relocate it under the bed) - but what causes cracking on the passenger side? tire contact?

    My driver side isn't cracked yet... But passenger side had abs and cruise control. We're taking these trucks past there limits, I think it's that simple in this case. @Squeaky Penguin did make a custom core support that I'm wondering may have contributed to his.

    Yeah, my passenger side is cracked there too. I do wonder if the fabricated core support is putting more stress in that area.

    correct. Not a ton but a bit off yes. I don't know that for certain but wouldn't be surprised. The body isn't square to frame even haha

    Have you tried loosening your body mounts and moving the cab around? Mine square up when I replaced my mounts and shifted it around a bit.

    I have a theory.
    Maybe we hit rocks and bumps harder on the passenger side because it is more comfortable for the driver. Or we cannot see them (think driver hanging out the window looking at tire placement). So the passenger has more stress introduced just from human condition.
