Today I set out to install my new Pop and Lock. I built out a wiring harness for installing it, which actually went really well. After getting it all in place, running the wires to the tailgate, etc., I have no pop and no lock. :(

Don't have a multimeter, but my circuit tester is lighting up when I lock and unlock the doors. Tomorrow, digging in to see if I can figure out what the issue is. Disappointed because I wanted to get more done today.

What is your daily load? How’s the ride? I have a shell and considering these for the slight sag and then the weekend house supplies
Same questions about your daily load? How’s the ride? You linked the 611-40 and when I put the truck/yr etc on the site it came up as 2 options 612-40 (500lb) and 612-47 (1k lb). The one you linked has a different bracket and I’m guess if fit the ubolt flip (hence the holes in the bracket)? Versus the ones I posted has a u shape (for normal u bolt orientation)? I don’t off road so I’m not sure the ubolt flip is for me or even needed.

I did look at air bags vs the SumoSprings and like the set and forget versus having to deal with air. The other timber option seemed like a rougher option/material in my circumstance for daily. I’m not looking to lift over stock so when I was looking into new leafs they all seemed to add height

I’m probably riding daily at 200-300lbs with the shell being 200. Anybody have thoughts or insights… I’d don’t want to be that guy and start a New thread

Actually, I think it'd be better if you DID start a new thread. This is good info that's going to soon get completely lost in the "what have you done" mega thread. :(

I don't know if I would call it a PROBLEM... I've had the rack for about 2 years. I don't know what type of bolts they come with now. The front face for the wind deflector bolts did not rust over if you notice in the pic. It seems yes it would be worth the $20 to get new bolts. But I'm unsure if this is common place with these racks. Does anyone use SS or Grd 8 bolts? I just don't know... Sorry.

It does seem common on here and when I used to mod other cars, always check your bolts. :)

TO BE FAIR, I would have to remove those side bolts to put on accessories each season and change from ski to bike and board season. If you notice in my OP the link shows a trick way to not need to do that with some in channel brackets. I bet if you installed the provided bolts, locktite and left them alone they would look better than mine.

If he tries to launch that in the ocean, the truck would fall off the continental shelf before the water got up to the doors! LoL

It was actually taken in the tunnel of the Superdome after the game, but yeah, he's living with his parents until he moves to Cincinnati......;)

My issues with the batteries was discussed here. This was a discussion on a different topic of contact with the manufacturer..............opinions differ on customer service.

Swapped in some Philips 4300k HIDs in place of the 3300k ones.

Overall opinion is "meh". They are definitely more "whiter" than the stock halogens but the cutoff fuzziness is more pronounced.
