I believe the green wire on the back of the cargo light, is the illum wire also.

Women are good at lubing ball joints. Some are better than others.

I’m fortunate to have one that likes to learn.

Start slow and easy, then pump hard enough until it starts to ooze out, and finish with just tight enough screwing.

Yeah you did. I have an Undercover lid and there are two options with/without rails. The rails are completely covered and useless. Should have removed the rail and went with the "without" model and made my own bracket. But would'a, could'a, should'a... Maybe I can find a rail and create a dual mount or something :notsure:

You'll make it work! If your rails are in the factory position this mounting system is well below the rails and the jack as mounted shouldn't interfere with their use.

In a few months, I’d love to see another picture of this. I use those zip tie mounts everywhere, but I remove the foam tape and use black silicone to mount them. I’m wondering if I’m just waisting time doing that.

I'm guessing you're spot on with the silicone. The adhesive on those zip tie mounting pads at least in my experience has a tendency to release when subjected to heat. Genuine 3M (not the cheap Chinese knock off stuff) tape might hold up to the heat but I've found that the foam adhesive normally found on those pads do not.
