Does anyone have the wiring diagram that includes the Y wire (Diode) and another set of wires that taps into two wires behind the head unit ?

Anyone ever experience the camera going blurry/fuzzy?
Worked fine this past weekend and it’s great when going off-road!! came back home and before washing the truck, realized that the camera was a little loose so I tightened the nut. Shortly after, noticed that the camera was no longer as clear as it was.

Which camera do you have? Someone else has a camera that also turned foggy/blurry in the past few days.

Yeah... looks like moisture on the inside of the lens.

I have the kit from runnin4tacos.
It has the leds around the camera lens as well.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I disconnected just the camera from the whole kit and I’m currently letting it sit in rice to hopefully draw out any moisture.

On a somewhat potential good note, I found a camera replacement on Amazon for $40. It looks like the same exact connection to the current kit I have so I’ll just take the camera from that. It doesn’t have the LEDs around the camera lens but I rarely Offroad at night. On top of that, that’s what fogs and headlights are for if anything.

I’ll take a picture of the camera tomorrow. On my way at to my 24hr shift. I’ll also check tomorrow to see if the rice helped at all.

I was able to take apart the camera piece a little too. There were 4 small Phillip screws and underneath was the wiring and motherboard. Everything looked pretty sealed. Looked like some sort of clear epoxy that was used for the “waterproof” capability.

How long have you had it... might get a warranty replacement out of it? Try contacting R4T... I hear they have great customer service.

Had it for a month haha. Never thought of that. I will try to email them today. Either way, would be nice to have an extra backup. That’s if the one off of Amazon is compatible.

I have the rear camera mounted on the cross bar. I also have the wiring harness built to supply power, just have to install this weekend. Front camera will also be installed this weekend. Will see if I get the camera switcher installed as well.

If your front camera is on the AV input, the HU is expecting the vehicle to be in the parked position with the parking brake on. This input would be used for say a DVD input or video game input as an example. Neither of which should be used while the vehicle is in motion. The connection you made to the aftermarket wire harness had a parking brake trigger which can be wired in parallel to a manual switch to fool the HU into thinking the parking brake is on. I had to do this when I installed a Pioneer DVD receiving in my pop-up camper in order to get the DVD video to display continuously. I connect a security alarm proximity sensor to a door and then just opened and closed the door to fool the DVD receiver into thinking the parking brake was on. Of course my pop-up camper does not have a parking brake so I had to improvise.

Bought this Nakita camera from Amazon. Had the same exact power plug that came with my kit from runnin4tacos. There was definitely some sort of moisture in my original camera.
The quality of this one doesn’t see as good as the original but at least I got this to work and was lucky enough that I needed to only spend $40 for a $165 kit.
reached out to runnin4tacos support for the kit I bought to see if I could get a replacement but didn’t hear back for about a week.

    Ok so need help!!

I did my install and got everything working but camera ring light would always stay on, I know its because i installed the power wire from the camera to my blue seas fuse block which is hooked up to the battery.
So then i took the power wire and i tapped it to the red wire coming from the switch thinking it would only come on when I turn on the switch.

After that the switch stopped illuminating, it use to stay on all the time, well when the car was on

Here is how I have my connections:
The black and grey wire from the switch AND the black wire from the relay are all connected together and grounded to the bolt behind the radio.
The red wire and the orange wire and the blue from the switch are connected to the red and orange wire to the braided line on the 28 pin connector that has the red and orange wire. The red and blue wire are connected together to the red wire on the braided line.
The Green wire from the switch is connected to the green wire on the relay
    [IMG]
ever since I tried to tap the power wire from the camera to the red wire on the switch, the switch no longer gets power.

I spoke to the people at anytime back up camera and he told me to connect the red wire from the camera to the green wire on the switch so the camera only comes on when i turn the switch, but i did my connections before he replied and now im not getting any power.

Any ideas on what i should check or why my switch isnt getting any power?

On a 2020 TDR OR, there is already a backup camera.

So which kits would I need to do the following?
Make the rear factory camera turn on at push of a button
Install a camera and have the same functionality for the front camera

If you want to add more cameras you need the same wire harness but a 4 camera PCB which I can put you in touch with the designer if you like.
