The dry heat does lessen the blow a bit, but it is still pretty hot. I was in Wisconsin a couple summers ago when it was 90 and high humidity and that was brutal. Much worse than our 100 - 110 days here in AZ.

I was in Vegas last year and it was only about 106. I was dying and couldn't get enough water in me. Could barely drink the fun stuff.

Full nope. The SW is so nice, but it's a nuclear furnace for me.

Yep! Where abouts are you going to be? Chandler here, but the entire state below the rim will be toasty! :bananadead:

    Rim? Theres a rim?

What is this rim you speak of...there is a comfortable part of AZ in July?

How many creatures want to kill me above this rim, do i have to shovel snow?

    Do tell

They all flock up to Flagstaff. Which under normal circumstances is ok. But with COVID more and more is getting shut down. Either from spreading the infection or trashing the trails.
But up here it’s fairly temperate with snow in the winter.

By snow...do you mean you can see it up yonder in the hills...or you have to shovel it to get out as soon as you open the front door. Im familiar with the latter, not a fan

The first time I was in flagstaff, it snowed 2 feet overnight. That’s when I found out it snows in Arizona lol

It snows. But clears fairly quick from sunny areas.
    No not Minnesota style snow.

If you can update the original post, here is the correct diagram:
    a1_311409C.jpg
Just FYI the part 31482D is actually 31482-04140 and can be ordered from any Toyota parts location for about $10 plus S&H...

Hope this helps anyone looking to do this themselves.

Yes. That is the diagram for the 3.5l. The diagram in the 1st Post is for the 2.7l, as noted, because those folks have asked about the ADM on the 4cyl or about using the hard line from the 2.7l. They don't have the accumulator to do the ADM and the routing is very different. So, both are a no go.

Just curious why you needed the line from the accumulator to slave? Most folks delete that when doing the ADM.

Just thought the 3.5L diagram is helpful for those of us with 3.5L, for reference. As some have said you can just bend that line rather than replacing with aftermarket line (in case worried about the flare not fitting right because Toyota has those special ones). So if you bend the one on your truck and want to replace it (or order one to bend and leave yours alone), that's the part number.

From the pics, I think everyone can locate the accumulator? I haven't heard of any issues there since this thread started, except for the 2.7l folks trying to find theirs.

Are you certain that 31482D will go the distance? My ADM method is the brake line elbow. I don't think the Toyota line is long enough. I had to straighten some of the kinks out of that line just to get it to join up. The 16th pic in the 1st Post is my setup. It was difficult to get the elbow connected.

If that is what you used, I would be happy to toss it in the first post with the pics.

In general, my recommendation these days would be to just dremel out the accumulator.

Just in case, this is the pic that I am talking about:

Is this easier to access if you remove the left front wheel ? Can you reach in from the wheel well instead
of laying on your back ? Asking for those of us that don't have a lift .... :fingerscrossed:

I did mine with all four wheels on the ground. Just slide under there. No lift or jack required.

A vehicle lift would make it easier but is not needed.

You cannot reach in from the wheel well because the exhaust is in the way. It would be a looong reach also.

I don't think so. It's also in the middle of the truck kind of. There's a big exhaust bracket in the way that's a pain and that's about it.

6ft and 230-something when I did the ADM. Thanks to this fucked virus situation and my laziness, that is about 245 these days. Too much of it is in the middle.
