This is true. But also consider a proper alignment to get the wheel forward. Especially with JBAs. I have them as well and you need to have the alignment tech move the lower control arm forward.

Most alignment techs will just get everything to factory spec. With 315s at factory alightnment, you’re gunna rub on the cab mount at factory specs.

If you look in that link I posted, it will specifically explain how alignments need to be done. Also, for good measure, if you go to my build thread, on the first page my alignment numbers are there.

Same man but if I’m going to have to regear on 33s I might as well get the 35s. Cutting is pretty much the same but I think most people recommend getting a cab mount relocation for 35s instead of a chop

You don't need to regear on 33s depending on your tire/lift/weight. I have an aluminum front bumper, steel sliders and steel rear bumper with swing out. ~2.25" lift and 285/70/17s. I dont carry a RTT or shell or other heavy things and I average 18mpgs because I generally dont drive over 75 and dont floor it all the time. No need to regear, but I'll highly consider before going to 35s in the future.

    I didn’t re-gear on 33’s, it’s not that bad.

33s because they’re less likely to blow apart your steering rack in 6 months
