Kits? You mean the AnytimeBackupCamera kit? I bought mine just a few months ago. I know this type is quit popular.

These 3 links are basically the Germes lab kit correct? All controlled thru your factory steering wheel buttons? Don't need to add any additional front/rear camera switches

 

Yes, all the same Germes device. I think your truck should have an Entune 2 head unit, as mine does (see pic below). I bought my Germes from Amazon, but you'll have to check and see who has it in stock currently. The camera is not included, except if you buy the "kit" from FreshMexicanTaco. There is also a newer model of the Germes device that is specific to the 2020 Entune 3.

 

Ok so its not the same plug and play harness that were originally posted on the first page of this thread.

 

No sir. The Germes is plug and play, comes with a couple of short harnesses. It uses the Mode and Up/Down buttons on the steering wheel for control. The unit itself tucks in behind your radio.

 

When you press the mode button does your radio change if your listening for example FM station

How does your mode functions work after having the Germes kit installed?

 

OEM Backup Cam works as normal when backing up. When you shift into drive the Front cam comes on and remains on until 12mph, or you can force it off sooner if you want.
Anytime while driving or stopped.. Two rapid presses of the Mode button toggles the Front Cam on. The radio source remains unaffected when doing this.
After you have toggled the camera on, pressing the Up or Down button switches between front and rear cameras.
Pressing and holding the Up or Down button for several seconds (until you hear a beep) locks the camera "on" until you press Mode to turn it off, or change the gearshift selector.
All functions of the radio itself work just like they normally do.

Yes I believe so. It looks like mine except without the "JBL" logo. The "SR" trucks have a different radio. The Germes for Entune 2 will work in an SR also, but the wiring connections are a bit different.

I have everything wired, and the switch does nothing. Except indicate that camera is on, when the car is in reverse. Best I can tell, the bypass harness red wire is supposed to supply 12 volts to the switch. I have verified continuity to the switch, but there is no voltage present tested at the harness red wire, and with a good ground. All other connections have been tested, I am just missing the voltage to power the entire thing.
