    #NeverForget.

    Not really feeling today....

Hoping that I can start some projects around the house this weekend; some painting, some landscaping and finally starting my worktable project too. All of this is pending as it keeps fucking raining. Rain today, rain tomorrow, but sunny Sunday. I suppose I can go get the wood in the rain, however, I just don't want to. I think I will get the supplies I need for the painting and landscaping projects and at least get the some of the landscaping done. It's a small project and can get done in the rain without much worry at all. I just really hate not being productive on the weekend.

The rain can kiss my ass.

Hope everyone has a good day and a good start to the weekend.

    Year of the flex...

Contacted the village regarding a few projects I want to do at the property. Time to contact a few companies and get some quotes figured out. Hoping I can get a solid, shortened (time) workout in at the gym and make a Home Depot run tonight.

    Truck update:

Still trying to decide between dual batteries or the 31M upgrade. I am leaning towards the 31M option though and will probably end up going that route.

Has anyone here that has done this mod done the following to trick the computer into increasing the alternator voltage output?

    Option 1:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/agm-battery-charging-alternator-voltage-booster.611314/

    GM part# - GM12135037

    Option 2:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-northstar-agm-battery-voltage-booster-upgrade.604478/

I assume that a high output alternator is the best route to take, however, under the assumption cost is a concern, which would you choose or which have you done?

    TIA.

After reading through option 1, I think I'm going to do the improved version of that with a couple of add a circuits. This way you still maintain circuit protection while not spending an arm and a leg and waiting for something from Australia.

I've run a Group 31 for 2 years now with no alternator trickery and never had a problem.

I was always of the same mindset and never done anything. But it’s not that you’ll have problems if you don’t, it’s just that the battery will never be fully charged. Some people top them off with a wall charger, some do nothing, some do some trickery. I want to try the trickery and see if I can get longer before my fridge shuts off.

I do admit that I hit it with a wall charger like twice a year to get it good and full as a maintenance/prevention item. My mind says that an 90% charged deep cycle is miles better than playing around with the OEM electrical via diodes and fuses and getting bit when you're miles from anywhere. No fault for experimentation, I just tend to play it safe based on the more austere nature of Utah.

Very long and hot walk to safety if you got burned out here:

Appreciate all the feedback and input.

My brother found this as well:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...r-voltage-booster.611314/page-2#post-22211354

Mainly asking for him as he is currently having alternator issues after his 31M upgrade, fridge install and trip. Fridge has been removed as he no longer needs it.

Since I plan on going this route soon/eventually, I am trying to get all my cute little ducks in a row...

I did the Ford diode trickery, I get 14.4 at start up and it will run about 13.9 under load. So far no issues. I bought the inline harness kit from David but have never installed it.

No issues so far with just the Ford part.

Thanks man. It's pretty great. Love the bike. Was looking to sell it in the late winter/early spring for a 365 day a year daily..thanks Rona. Not sure what's going to happen with it now. It was way too hot this summer to ride and I only have a few weeks left this year to get some 2-wheel time in. We'll just have to see.
