Congrats on the sale, but sad to see it go. You built such a badass truck.
Better not go deleting your build thread, I need something to reference when time comes to build my cage.

I offered him my truck plus 20k on his end as a trade. No response.

Yeah, it looks like I'll have 15" of usable travel in the front, so I should aim for, what, 20" in the back?

I know there's a golden rule ratio there, but don't know what it is.

So much good reading in here. Maybe someday I’ll do LT, still undecided but you all are helping me make that decision. I wanted to know if you guys saw this in my local classifieds and what you thought? Lots of fab work and money thrown at it for sure, but no cage or anything. Very glam worthy truck, the price is $65k. So... ya know just chump change. He said in the ad that he’ll wait 6 months to find the right buyer at that price & that it should be no problem getting a bank loan for the truck. I have so many questions but I’m not asking them. :pccoffee:

He had a caged/ linked truck before this one. It’s built well with all the right parts and all the work was done by quality professionals. That said, I personally would not spend that kind of money without it being at least a +3.5” kit up front and sua rear. The performance gains far outweigh that extra 3” of width compared to a +2 kit.

That said, that said, I also think it is priced pretty fairly and he knows it will take a very special buyer to go for it. Slap a for sale sign on it at the overland expo and it’ll start a bidding war

That’s what I was wondering. It doesn’t have SUA or BIG LT but it has a lot of money into it and if there is a buyer out there w the money it’s exactly what the overlanders love to build. I think he has almost as much into his lighting as I do my whole truck Initial purchase price. Nutty

Can you confirm will work on 3rd gen; all links are for 2nd gen? I have a 2020 and like it sometimes in the dry, but snow or mud is the killer.

Can confirm, swaybar is nice to have but not necessary.
I’ll add it sooner or later but it’s nice to learn to drive without it should it ever fail/break.

I have no clue. If the wiring in either of those two threads looks the exact same, I’d say try it out. But make sure to cut the wires in a clean way so you can solder back together if it doesn’t have the results you want.
Or there may be a 3rd gen specific thread with the same info, I haven’t looked at all because it doesn’t apply to me.

Not really - it's really the terrain and needs of the driver. Once the front is maxed out on terrain and nothing from the rear end is limiting the front, you're kind of all set until you can get more out of the front.

My current rear set up (Raptor leafs from Deaver) was keeping up with the MT front. It was a whole new truck compared to the fuckshow of my worn out dakar pack. When the front is done I'm pretty sure I'll be outrunning the rear again, since I'll have as much or more front travel as rear. I guess we'll find out this winter.

A little bit of everything the east coast has to offer: some crawling, fire roads, faster trails, hunting leases. Sometimes all on the same trip.
