    As much of an expensive and shitty experience it was, I know I had driven in way worse shape pretty regularly before that night. I probably got off easy. I never crashed or ran anyone over, so I considered it a warning. A few months before this, I drank like it was a sport and drove home 2 or 3 times a week.

    Now I just sleep on a couch if I have too much!

    No man, I hear you. I just try to give folks the benefit of the doubt. That was a dumb decision that lead to a series of dumb decisions. But if they changed and learned and became advocates for preservation, that's enough in my book to earn some goodwill.
