2020 Tie downs

I need to put in some tie-downs, anchor rings in the bed of my truck. Any recommendations?

o-tracks are great They sit at the same height as the ribs in the bed do, you can put your tie downs anywhere you want, and they are super strong.

I have these and like them. Unscrew a bolt, put these in, screw the bolt back in. Easy-peasy.

For the rear of the bed, I have the Total Chaos bed stiffeners, which have multiple tie-down points.

They are jacknuts. While they don't look that secure by them selves, each of the big rails has 10 of them and the small rails have three each.

Next summer I do plan to remove them all and install new ones with fender washers in there.

come on man, nobody reads the manual.

 

I put in the Dodge Sprinter OEM D-rings in at the 4 bed mounting bolts. Super easy mod to do!

 

Did you have to modify the bed bolts at all to use those? I’ve seen a couple of people use D rings that require shaving that bolt ever so slightly. I like the Cali-raised tie downs, but I’d prefer to have something that folds flat when not in use.

 

Were those something you just cobbled together or were they purchased off the shelf?

 

T nuts and m6 bolts with washers with d rings bought from Home Depot.

 

Home Depot doesn’t have t nuts, everything else is from there.

 

Yes I had modify the bed bolts ever so slightly. I put a little bevel on the bottom of the bolt head with a bench grinder. Only took a couple minutes each.
