Huh, first Taco mod of 2021 - took advantage of the above-freezing weather and swapped the vanity lights with Diode Dynamics DD0047Q LEDs:

Brighter than stock filament bulbs but kept the warm white hue, because these shine directly into the eyes:

Also put in a bottle of Sta-bil 22209-913 fuel stabilizer since the truck will be sitting for a while.

TRD Pro suspension with Headstrong 3 Leaf AAL, DV8 OR front slimline bumper & Engine Skid Plate, RCI OR high clearance bumper, CaliRaised Trail Edition Sliders, Spidertrax 1.25" Wheel Spacers, 265/75 16 GY Duratracs, wrapped the OEM wheels, OR Roof Rack, Extang Exceed Hard top Tri fold tonneau.
Finally got around to installing my Headstrong 3 leaf AAL, the install went very smoothly, got about 1.25" lift and gave me a little rake back. Haven't measured it loaded yet, maybe tomorrow.

Attempted to install yellow lamin-x film on the fog lights. After second attempt at lining one up it had a bubble towards the bottom; peeled it back off got a fingerprint on the sticky side. o_O Ordering another set. Lesson learned. :cookiemonster:

I vaguely remember seeing something a long time ago about taking something as simple as a regular Coke, and pouring it on the battery terminals (obviously disconnected), and it would help clean them off. Acid in it would eat away at the corrosion and help clean them up.

yeah true. Unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover the cost of the tint on the windshield.

Latex gloves are your friend. Also remove the bezel before install. Makes it 100x easier.

yeah I’ve used coke before, it works, but the baking soda and water mixture is more effective and washes away easily and doesn’t leave any sugary residue in your engine bay. I don’t like ants.

edit: this new AGM battery has brass terminals so it shouldn’t corrode nearly as bad as a regular battery.

also only put dialectic grease over the connections+terminal once it’s tightened, not before you bolt it down. Keep the electricity in and moisture out.

LEDs in the dome light fixture is the icing on the cake. Use the double LED panel(s) instead of a single bulb replacement.

Example of the panels in a kit here. A slight (and easy) install modification is required. Easy bench work, then install. Have a look see here.

Are those blue leds in your door handle? I was just complaining about not having a light in the handle of my truck. Did it come that way or did you install them?

Wired up the Rigid rear bumper lights today. I wasn’t moving very quickly but it took the better part of the day. :notsure:
All worked out well, had the football games going in the background. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

I ordered a new panel for the left driver side from MESO. Will add back my Auto Headlights and Traction Control buttons when it comes in. For now I have them under the dash.
