Pressing the black rubber thingy on the frame will get the chime to shut up. It's the door close sensor, so you can trick it into thinking the door is actually closed. Do it everytime I flash a new tune.

I went through a lot of the customizations and thanks to @CdnSldr from the other topic (tonered’s ECU update) basically followed his suggested options. I only remember seeing it asked once here, but in case I missed something, is there a way to turn off the hood ajar alert? I’m not skilled enough I don’t think to close the circuit on it manually, or w/e.

Also, can someone explain the TPSM page in TS? I was hoping you could just input values for when it alerts you, say at 20 psi, vs anything below 26, but I was unsure how to mess around with that page.

Thanks for all the help in here, you guys are great!

Please excuse me if these questions have already been addressed before...
When applying TSBs is there an audit entry written to the ECU that contains information related to Who applied the TSB? And is there any impact to the warranty if the TSB was applied by someone other than a Toyota Dealer?

Nope. And most dealerships don't even apply the sticker that the T-SB states to install. Go ahead and update!

The option is there in TS to turn-off or disable the door open chime when in ACC mode.
Evidently on the earlier Gen3 years this option did nothing (as reported by some here); but I selected it on my 2020, and it did indeed work. I don't know if it works on the years prior to 2020, but it worked on mine :)

Well that is a new one. Nice find!

If you can post up screenshots, I can add them somewhere in the ECU Update thread.

Or here. I'd definitely like to see if it's possible on mine.

I don't even remember where I was inside the Labyrinth that is TechStream.
It was my very first time using TS (to update my ECU), and while I was in there I turned-off my seat belt warning, and then I looked at literally every single Customization Option to see what was available. The option is in there, somewhere; but I don't remember where.

In the 5 Posts starting here in this thread you can see that it doesn't work for some years prior to 2020 (which years, I am not certain), but it definitely worked for mine :)

In this post it is stated:
As an update, Toyota documents in the latest 2021 manual that you are able to have the door alarm/reminder turned off by dealer service departments - having mine done this week!
The Dealer Service Department would certainly be using TS to do this. So, it works for 2020 & 2021 at least.

What version of TS are you using? Perhaps only a later version exposes that option...

I'm using the TS version from this thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ecu-tsb-update.562550/
    v14.20.019

It might work on your 2019, I don't know.
But, evidently it didn't work on VB25's 2018 (see here).

At the end of the ECU Update thread 1st Post, I linked a bunch of Customization screenshots from @CdnSldr 's 2020. Does anything look familiar there?

Oh!! It is shown in the third pic! I will note that.

Yes, it is the third item in this pic:

I selected 'Off' (as shown in the pic), then clicked the 'Green Arrow' to confirm my changes (lower right, next to the 'Red X' - it turns Green after you make changes), and it worked on my 2020.

Edit: This pic is the third one in this post.

    @Totall4285 .

Could you change to the title to possibly add something about the door chime option being re-discovered? It is kind of a big deal to a lot of folks and really cool that some 2020+ have the option.

    Thanks!

It is hard to even say what ECU this option resides in. The fact that it only works on some 2020s is a big head scratcher.

@G8R_Taco said that he will peek at his 04B33 2019 though.

No joy on the 2019. Completely different customization screen than what I have.
Do the 2020+ trucks have the option to change the number of blinks for lane-change?
Was a sub-system selected for this customization?

That should be in Warnings. I've seen it for all model years except 2021s, only because I haven't hooked up to one yet.
