They have always been difficult and to turn. Even more so cause of the position on the truck. Reaching up in there all pretzeled up.

I think some of ours are not seized. Is it normal them to hard to turn toward the beginning and end?

 

Looking for advice on what would be a fair price to offer for these. 40k miles so I’d likely rebuild them before install.

I was thinking $700. Even if I pay to have them rebuilt I’m at $1200 for what would be a $3000 setup. Am I getting a deal or am I kidding myself?

 

That’s actually an $1800 purchase brand new. They look terrible. Buy once cry once dude.

Yeah, those need some work and at 40k you’re into them at least a rebuild and likely some replacement parts. If you can do the work yourself you could possibly make it worth your time but I wouldn’t buy them and slap them on your truck.

 

@RangerComa is correct. I have the same setup and I think I paid just under $1800 brand new including ICON AAL and shipping to Hawai’i.

Had a good couple years on my setup. ~55k ish miles. Time for a rebuild, the rear driver is leaking from the top somewhere, 2.0 resi with cd adjusters (985-26-118).

sticking with the fronts, ext length 2.5 resi DSC’s, love those shocks and have performed wonderfully in all kinds of driving. So these will get rebuilt.

In the rear I’m going BAMF shock relocation, and adding Hd hangers and shackle. @accutune looking for some coaching here. I’m seeing the tallest compressed length I can fit is about 21”. Is there any reason not to go with a 14” travel shock if it’s the same compressed length as the 12”?

or should I stick with a shorter compressed length for more up travel?

 

We have not used BAMF kit before, but with Archive Garage kit, we found it tough to use all the shock travel in the 14" shock. Some leaf packs wont allow for more droop. A 12" rear shock would work just fine. We prefer a short compressed length for packaging and higher shock mount clearance. You may want to speak with BAMF on shock length and diameter restrictions for their kit.

Struggling to find accurate info and have read about 50 threads on this so I’ll post on here and hope someone who knows what they are taking about can help. I have a 2018 TRD Off Road DCLB and just finished installing my Fox 2.5 reservoir extended travel 2-3” DSC Coilovers and to me, I am concerned about the adjustment and the actual lift I’m getting out of them, threads showing, etc. Truck is 100% stock, no bumpers or extra weight anywhere on it so far. I am well aware that I will eventually have to get longer/heavier springs once I add bumpers but I am concerned as it’s sits for stock.

I have read that these coilovers come stock set for approx for 2” of lift my goal is at least 2.5, hopefully 2.75+ for now.

I went ahead and put 8 additional turns in PRIOR to installing them to get me closer and after I talking them, cycling the suspension and measuring before and after at ride height I was not even at 2” here is where I am at after turning down over 12-16 turns per side and I and now well over the 21” maximum recommended length of coil over by fox and accutune, close to 21.5. Please help!

D 22 1/2” to fender ( 20 9/16 stock, 1.937 actual lift)

P 22 15/16” to fender ( 20.75 stock, 2.188 actual lift)

For a stock truck, no weight and coils that were supposed to come at 2” approx lift, with a max adj of 21” total length at ride height, why am I struggling to get even 2” after over an inch of additional turns put in?!?

 

Have you checked to determine how much down travel you currently have after the additional adjustment?

I'm kinda in the same boat, also DCLB. I've probably got hella rake right now but it still looks and works well. I think I have around 18 threads showing but feel like I'm not even getting 2" on the front but got well over on the back. I don't recall my fender measurements off the top of my head.

I'm not touching them until I wear my stock tires out and get new wheels and tires installed since I'll need an alignment (probably, also I'm lazy) anyway.

 

Ok so if I buy the 2.0 setup and put it on my truck how much adjustment will I need to counteract the lean? Or just stick an anti-lean spacer in there? I might not have access to a press when installing and from what I read you cannot adjust then on the truck.
